Duhamel Doubles Through Zimmerman

Li Doubles Through Zimmerman

Ilian Li raised to 280,000 from middle position and Seth Zimmerman called from the big blind. He bet in the dark to put Li to a decision for the remainder of his chips before the dealer fanned out the flop. Li, who only had 335,000 to start the hand, called to put himself at risk.

While Zimmerman's hand had been best preflop, Li had taken the lead with flopped two pair. The turn put Zimmerman back out in front, but the river meant Li would take the pot with a nine-high straight to double up.

Action folded around to Craig Varnell in the hijack and he raised to 330,000. Conway Frankenheimer three-bet shoved from the button for 610,000 and Varnell called to put him at risk.

Frankenheimer had the preflop advantage with his kings and Varnell needed to improve in order to stack him. The flop kept Frankenheimer in the lead, but the turn gave Varnell two pair, leaving Frankenheimer in need of help on the river. The last card was the which changed nothing so Varnell took the pot to end Frankenheimer's deep run in this event.

With Frankenheimer's elimination, the official final table has been reached and the remaining nine players are taking a 10-minute break before the stream begins.
