Hench Doubles Through Stockfish

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Gregory Jamison opened to 3,600 from middle position and Jason Stockfish called from the hijack. Zachary Hench was in the big blind and considering his decision when we got to the table. Stockfish called the floor over.

"This kid has been stalling every hand," Stockfish said to tournament staff, referring to the approaching bubble. The floor gave Hench 30 seconds to act on his hand and he ultimately shoved. Jamison folded and Stockfish called to put Hench at risk.

Jason Stockfish: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Zachary Hench: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Hench had the best of it with his aces and Stockfish needed help from the deck in order to stack him. The board ran out {J-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Hench took the pot with sevens full of aces for the double-up.

Grinkevich's Bullets Hold

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Anton Grinkevich was in the big blind, peeling {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. He moved all in for 13,200 over Brad Albrinck's raise and Albrinck called off.

"Oh no, you?" some of Grinkevich's friends asked. Grinkevich showed his hand and asked (after the fact), "What should I do?"

Albrinck had {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} looked comfortable for Grinkevich. The {3-Clubs} turn gave Albrinck some chances for a backdoor victory, but the {K-Spades} river was safe for Grinkevich who doubled up.

Hellmuth Stacks Cook to Break the Bubble

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

When we got to the table, the complete board of {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} was out and all the money was in. Jeffery Cook had {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} face-up in front of him and was preparing to make his exit, as Phil Hellmuth was showing {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} for the nut straight and 7-6-5-3-A low.

With Cook's elimination, the bubble has ended and all remaining players are in the money.

Dudani Binks a Double

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Brian Norton raised to 5,000 from middle position and Shiva Dudani and Quinn Do came along from the blinds.

All players checked the {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop and the {2-Diamonds} double paired the board. Dudani announced a pot-sized bet and he was handling just under that, pushing all in for 14,000. Do folded but Norton called after considering his options.

Dudani: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Norton: {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Both players had ace-deuce and Dudani was freerolling a low. He failed to do so, but the {6-Diamonds} river gave him a full house and Dudani secured a double.

"What did you call with?" Norton asked, leaning forward. Dudani replied that he had ace-deuce.

"Any suits?"

Dudani again repeated "ace-deuce".

"Well played, sir," Norton said with a little bit of sarcasm in his tone. Dudani laughed and stacked his new chips.

Jordison's Instincts Prove Correct

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

In a battle of blinds, Timothy Vukson and Angela Jordison had already slid in 4,000 apiece by the time they came to the {Q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Spades}{K-Spades}{8-Diamonds} river.

Vukson led out 22,000 and Jordison started processing her situation. She leant back in her chair, turned to her opponent and then apologized for taking time for her decision.

"If you don't have a straight then I have the nuts," Jordison said.

Then she placed in the calling chips.

Vukson slowly turned up {A-}{A-}{7-}{2-} and Jordison saw that she didn't run into a straight. She rolled over her {K-}{K-}{7-}{3-} and scooped the pot to rise to 80,000 while Vukson was left with peanuts.

Pender: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and Fiorelli finished with a flush to increase his micro stack to 15,000.

Ernst Falls to Roders and Krueger

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

On the flop of {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, three stacks were pushed toward the middle as Justine Roders, Quentin Krueger, and David Ernst found it a good situation to risk all their chips.

Roders: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Krueger: {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Ernst: {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

Roders had a nut low draw but the {Q-Spades} turn changed nothing. Krueger was still ahead with a pair of sevens and he finished with two pair when the {6-Hearts} hit the river. Roders filled her low draw and claimed the low half and Ernst's chips were split between the two winning hands.
