O'Donnell Takes It on the Turn

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

With the action folding to Matt O'Donnell in the small blind, he raised to 50,000, and Anderson Ireland raised to 150,000 in the big blind. O'Donnell thought for a moment before tossing in the call.

The two saw a flop of {8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs} and O'Donnell check-called a bet of 100,000 from Ireland. On the {k-Diamonds} turn, O'Donnell checked again and faced a bet of 250,000 and went into the tank. After a minute or so, O'Donnell check-raised to 1,250,000, which put Ireland to a decision for most of his stack. A few moments passed before Ireland reluctantly mucked his hand, O'Donnel showed two cards, revealing {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} as he scooped the pot.

Ireland Flushes Out O'Donnell

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Matt O'Donnell limped the button, Anderson Ireland completed in the small blind, and Andrew Holland checked his option in the big.

The three players saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {9-Hearts} turn. Ireland led out for 40,000, drawing a fold from Holland and a call from O'Donnell.

The {7-Clubs} river completed the board and Ireland checked it over to O'Donnell who put out a bet of 85,000. Ireland snap-called, rolling over {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a queen-high flush, and O'Donnell mucked.

Ireland Slips to Chu

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Anderson Ireland opened under the gun to 50,000. Hai Chu called on the button and Matt O'Donnell came along in the big blind.

The trio saw the flop of {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} and it checked around to the {a-Spades} turn. It checked to Chu who fired a bet of 60,000 and Ireland was the only caller.

The river {5-Hearts} completed the board and the action went check-check. "Ace-king," said Chu, tabling {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} for aces up, and Ireland mucked.

Andrew Holland

On a flop of {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, Anderson Ireland checked to Andrew Holland who fired a bet of 75,000 into the 60,000-chip pot.

Ireland put Holland all in for his remaining 160,000 and Holland instantly made the call.

Andrew Holland: {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}
Anderson Ireland: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Holland's set of fours was in the lead but would need to fade Ireland's open-ended straight draw to stay alive.

The {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs} runout fell in Holland's favor, and he earned a much-needed double to keep the bracelet dream alive.

Anderson Ireland

Matt O'Donnell opened to 60,000 from late position with Anderson Ireland calling in the cutoff and Hai Chu defending the big blind.

All three checked a {6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop bringing the {a-Spades} on the turn.

Two more checks saw Ireland bet 75,000. Chu check-raised pot to 417,000 and Ireland called.

The {j-Clubs} fell on the river and after a bit of time, Chu got a count of 615,000 from his opponent and moved all in. Ireland snap-called to put himself at risk.

Chu tabled the {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a ten-high straight but Ireland made the nuts with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} and scored a massive double up to take the chip lead.
