O'Donnell Dips Below a Million

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Anderson Ireland limped the button and Matt O'Donnell raised to 120,000 with Ireland making the call. They saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and O'Donnell check-called a bet of 100,000 from Ireland.

The turn brought the {q-Hearts} and O'Donnell checked it over to Ireland again, who fired a hefty bet of 300,000, sending O'Donnell into the tank. After a couple of minutes, he counted out the call.

On the {5-Spades} river, the action went check-check and Ireland revealed {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for two pair, queens and tens, and O'Donnell sent his hand into the muck.

O'Donnell Catches Quads to Double

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Matt O'Donnell limped and Anderson Ireland checked his option, bringing a {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop. Ireland bet 80,000 and O'Donnell raised to 320,000.

Ireland got a count, raised pot, and O'Donnell called it off.

Anderson Ireland: {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Matt O'Donnell: {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

O'Donnell was ahead and left Ireland drawing dead when the {5-Hearts} peeled off on the turn. The {7-Diamonds} on the river would complete the board and send the pot to O'Donnell.

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Anderson Ireland raised to 120,000 on the button and Matt O'Donnell called. The two saw a {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} flop and O'Donnell check-called a bet of 120,000 from Ireland.

Ireland Gets Some Back

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Anderson Ireland has taken down the first two sizeable pots after the break to give himself some breathing room against Matt O'Donnell.

In the first one, O'Donnell opened to 150,000 and Ireland flatted. The flop came down {5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs} and O'Donnell check-called a bet of 200,000. The {10-Hearts} hit the turn and both checked to see the {7-Hearts} on the river.

Two more checks saw Ireland claim the pot tabling the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The next one saw Ireland limp-call a raise to 150,000 with a {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop fanning out. O'Donnell bet 150,000 and Ireland called to see the {7-Diamonds} hit the turn.

Both players checked to bring the {3-Spades} on the river and O'Donnell check-folded to a bet of 300,000.

O'Donnell Cuts into the Lead Again

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Matt O'Donnell limp-called a bet of 150,000 from Anderson Ireland on the button and the two players saw a flop of {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Ireland led out for 150,000 and O'Donnell made the call. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Ireland sized up for a bet of 350,000 and O'Donnell thought for a minute before putting in the call.

The {7-Spades} river saw Ireland check it over to O'Donnell who, after some thinking, moved all in for 930,000.

Ireland went into the tank for a minute, but ended up finding a fold on the "worst river possible."

Matt O'Donnell: {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The {3-Clubs} changed nothing on the river and O'Donnell doubled with his straight.

Ireland's River Bluff Gets Called

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Anderson Ireland limp-called 150,000 from Matt O'Donnell on the button and the two players went to a flop of {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{q-Hearts}. O'Donnell led out for 200,000 and Ireland called.

On the {a-Spades} turn, action went check-check to the {2-Clubs} river where Ireland assembled a bet of 300,000. O'Donnell considered his options for a moment before putting in the call.

"Good call," said Ireland, "ten high," he said, flashing a {10-Hearts}. O'Donnell flipped over {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for two pair, queens and eights, and gained back a small chip lead.
