Snow's Kings Hold

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Alan Snow, Jesse Chinni, and Jameson Painter contributed to a preflop pot of about 24,000 before seeing the {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. All three players checked and the {q-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Snow led with a bet of 8,000 from the big blind and Chinni called from early position along with Painter in middle position.

The {2-Hearts} completed the board and after three checks, Snow tabled the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades} to claim the pot.

Doan Nears 200,000

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Bradley Coultas opened from under-the-gun to 3,600 drawing calls from Justin Young in middle position and Alexander Puchalski on the button and Christopher Doan opted to come along in the big blind.

The flop of {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} was checked around to the {5-Diamonds} turn card. Doan put out a bet of 11,000 and Puchalski was the only caller. The river fell the {8-Diamonds} and Doan again bet a near identical amount of 12,000 but Puchalski folded as Doan scooped and adds to his healthy stack early in day 2.

McAlpin Rivers a Flush and a Bounty

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Christina Mcalpin
Christina Mcalpin

With around 10,000 in the middle, Christina McAlpin check-called a bet of 16,000 from John Holley on a flop of {6-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. On the {5-Diamonds} turn McAlpin checked and Holley shoved all-in for his last 17,500 sending McAlpin into the tank. "I hope this doesn't go in the middle too," joked Holley referencing his bounty chip. After a minute or so McAlpin announced the call. John Holley rolled over {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} for top set against McAlpin's {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Holley would need to fade a non-board-pairing heart on the river to stay alive. However the river fell the {3-Hearts} giving McAlpin the flush and another bounty chip as she moves past the 150,000 mark.

Painter Smudges Out Patel

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Jameson Painter
Jameson Painter

Jameson Painter bet 8,000 on the flop of an {8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Hearts} board after Talesh Patel checked out of the big blind. Patel raised pot having slightly less behind and Painter raised to get the rest.

Jameson Painter: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Talesh Patel: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Both had flopped huge hands and Patel was ahead until the {A-Clubs} turn. That gave Painter the bigger full house and the pot was secured after a meaningless {3-Spades} river.

Mcalpin Surges into Chip Lead

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

The Pokernews team was unable to catch the action but the hand resulted in Maria Mcalpin stacking chips and another bounty as Alexander Puchalski made his way to the payout cage. Mcalpin has quickly more than doubled the 132,000 stack she began the day with and is the first player to eclipse the 300,000 mark.
