Esch Runs Into Aces

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Noam Freedman opened to 140,000 in early position and Dieter Esch quickly three-bet to 400,000 a couple of seats over. The action folded back to Freedman who instantly announced all in and Esch called off his stack of around 900,000.

Noam Freedman: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Dieter Esch: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Freedman held a commanding lead over Esch and the flop of {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} changed nothing. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn was safe for Freedman as was the {5-Hearts} on the river and Esch was eliminated.

Valentine's Patience Pays Off

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After action folded to Sridhar Natarajan, one of the bigger stacks remaining, in middle position, he announced "All in," which got folds from everyone except for Brian Valentine, who made the call from his big blind.

Brian Valentine: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Sridhar Natarajan: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Valentine was way ahead preflop, and his hand held on the {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} runout. Natarajan then told Valentine that he was just trying to steal the blinds and that he was glad Valentine's patience finally paid off for him.

Uzunov Wins a Monster Flip

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

After a couple of preflop raises, Ivan Uzunov and Noam Freedman got all of their chips in the middle with Freedman being the player at risk for a little under 2,000,000 chips. As expected, two big hands were tabled and it was a coin flip.

Ivan Uzunov: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Noam Freedman: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Freedman picked up a straight draw to go with his two over cards. The {k-Spades} on the turn eliminated his straight possibility but it also gave him some counterfeit outs. However, the {7-Diamonds} on the river bricked off and Uzunov held on to win a monster pot.
