Third Barrel Convinces Proudfoot

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Kyle Cartwright raise to 50,000 and Jonathan Proudfoot defended big blind. Proudfoot check-called 60,000 on the {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop then 105,000 more on the {3-Spades} turn. The {3-Diamonds} paired the board and Proudfoot checked a final time. Cartwright barreled away for 330,000, and Proudfoot went deep into the tank.

After thinking for several minutes, he waved the white flag.

Barzantny Chops Down De Silva a Bit

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Upeshka De Silva bet 55,000 from under the gun on {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Wojtek Barzantny made it 160,000 to go from the button. De Silva peeled and the river was an {a-Spades}. De Silva came out betting with 85,000 and Barzantny was having none of it, raising again, this time to 375,000.

De Silva thought awhile then called but couldn't beat {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

Jeremy Menard Eliminated in 13th Place ($18,352)

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jeremy Menard
Jeremy Menard

Hand 1:

Jan Bednar limped in on the button, and Angel Guillen came along in the small blind. Jeremy Menard shoved for 530,000 from the big blind, Bednar called off his last 500,000, and Guillen folded.

Jan Bednar: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Jeremy Menard: {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Bednar's sneaky pair of kings had Menard in a world of hurt. Menard found a little hope on the {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop, but improved no further on the {8-Clubs} turn and {4-Diamonds} river to leave himself with just 30,000.

Hand 2:

Angel Guillen limped in on the button, and Menard put his last 30,000 in from the small blind. Demosthenes Kiriopoulos raised to 150,000 in the big blind, then folded when Guillen jammed.

Jeremy Menard: {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Angel Guillen: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

"Quadruple up, let's go!" Menard said. He bricked the {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop, and although the {4-Hearts} turn gave him some additional outs with a gutshot straight draw, the {10-Spades} river left him just short of the two table redraw.

Bednar Crippled by Howard Before Break

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

In a hand that stretched a few minutes into break, Jan Bednar checked from the big blind on {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Nicholas Howard bet 200,000. Bednar called and the river was a {5-Clubs}. He checked and Howard jammed for 655,000. Bednar called with a sigh.

Howard opened {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a flush and Bednar mucked. He was left with 30,000.
