Desobry is the Early Chipleader

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A player in the cutoff opened to 700, Geoff Desobry three-bet to 2,500 from the small blind and his opponent called. The dealer fanned out {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} on the flop and both players checked to the {6-Hearts} turn card.

Desobry check-called a bet of 2,500 and the {5-Diamonds} landed as a river card. Desobry again check-called, this time for 3,000 and his opponent tabled {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of eights.

Desobry turned over {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}, giving him a higher pair and the pot. He adds another pot to his already large stack, bringing his total to almost three times that of a starting stack.
