Ace-Jack Works For Oppenheim Again

Level 20 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

David Oppenheim raised from the cutoff, and Josh Arieh called in the big blind.

Arieh checked the {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop, and Oppenheim bet. Arieh check-raised, and Oppenheim called.

Arieh bet the {5-Diamonds} turn, and Oppenheim called.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} river, and Arieh said, "Five."

Oppenheim tabled {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}, and Arieh took Oppenheim's cards, tossed them facedown in the muck, and said, "His hand's dead, I have a live hand," with a grin, before mucking his own hand.

Level 20 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Phil Ivey: {x-}{x-} / {10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} / {x-}
Dan Cates: {x-}{x-} / {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades} / {x-}

Phil Hui was the bring in and Dan Cates completed his king. Phil Ivey made it two bets with a ten and Cates called. Cates check-called a bet from Ivey on fourth street.

On fifth street, Cates bet and Ivey called. Cates checked sixth street and Ivey bet. Cates made the call and both players checked seventh street.

Ivey tabled {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair of aces. Cates tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for the same pair of aces and took down the pot with his king-queen kicker to Ivey's king-ten. With the lost pot, Phil Ivey now finds himself under with two million in chips after entering the last two days as chip leader of the tournament.

Esposito Scoops Deeb

Level 20 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Shaun Deeb; {x-}{x-} / {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} / {x-}
John Esposito: {x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} / {x-}
Dan Cates: {x-}{x-} / {q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades} - folded on fifth street

Shaun Deeb was the bring in with his five and Dan Cates completed his queen. John Esposito made it two bets and Deeb and Esposito both called. Esposito bet on fourth street and both players called.

Esposito continued firing on fifth street and Deeb called. Cates thought for a bit and let his hand go. Esposito didn't slow down, betting again on sixth and seventh and receiving two more calls from Deeb.

Esposito tabled {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} to show a made seventy-six with a flush draw. He then peeled the {a-Clubs} to fill up, which prompted Deeb to tap the table and send his cards to the muck.

Dario Sammartino Eliminated in 9th Place ($93,764)

Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

2-7 Triple Draw

David Oppenheim raised in the small blind, Dario Sammartino three-bet and Oppenheim called.

Oppenheim pitched two, Sammartino one and Oppenheim check-called a bet from Sammartino.

Oppenheim drew two again while Sammartino was good. Oppenheim checked, Sammartino bet and Oppenheim called.

Both players patted on the final draw and Oppenheim checked, trying to get action from Sammartino. Sammartino, however, checked back and Oppenheim took it down with {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}.

Sammartino was left with 190,000 and he got it in on the next hand, facing off against Oppenheim again.

Both drew two on the first two draws and Sammartino pitched one on the final draw. Oppenheim still needed two.

Oppenheim opened {7-}{6-}{2-} and he expressed some frustration upon peeling a {6-}. The other card was a {4-}.

Sammartino had {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and Josh Arieh observed that Oppenheim had three outs, should Sammartino pair an eight. He indeed flipped an {8-} to bust his draw and Oppenheim tackled him in two consecutive hands.

Shaun Deeb was moved from the TV table, taking a seat between Bryce Yockey and Josh Arieh.

No-Limit Hold'em

Shaun Deeb raised to 90,000 in the first position and Bryce Yockey defended his big blind with a call.

Deeb checked back on the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop and Yockey led out 200,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn. Deeb called.

The {9-Hearts} river double-paired the board and Yockey bet 400,000. Deeb quickly called but he mucked when Yockey showed {6-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a full house.
