Timmis Strikes Again; Busts Chiu

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
LinusLove eliminated by Craig Timmis
LinusLove eliminated by Craig Timmis

Craig Timmis reraised the pot to 550,000 preflop and picked up a call by button raiser Sai Ho "LinusLove" Chiu, who then called all-in for the last one and a half blinds after the {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} flop.

Sai Ho "LinusLove" Chiu: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Craig Timmis: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The {7-Diamonds} turn and {2-Clubs} river runout kept Timmis with queens and fours in the lead.

Lucas "GreenFrogX" Fernandes Tabarin sent his stack over to Yonathan "ninoboys80" Journo when his {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} failed to beat the {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} on a board of {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Manig Loeser then doubled through Juha Helppi with {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} versus {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} as the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop provided him with another queen.

"HIops1time" departed in a short stack battle of two Canadians and that reduced the field to just 25 hopefuls.

Ross_Geller doubles through Connor Drinan
Ross_Geller doubles through Connor Drinan

Ajay "Ross_Geller" Chabra has taken the entire stack of Connor Drinan to send the American pro to the rail in 25th place. Most of the damage was done when Drinan bet the {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs} turn and jammed the {j-Clubs} river with {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Chabra check-called both streets with {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and his nut flush locked up the double. The remaining few blinds vanished shortly after.

The final four tables were barely set when two short stacks clashed in Joao Mathias "12345123456" Baumgarten and "karapepono":

Joao Mathias "12345123456" Baumgarten: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
"karapepono": {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}

Board: {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The pair of queens held for "karapepono" and that spelled the end for Baumgarten.

"PgTilt" Doubles; Morgenstern Doubles Loeser and Tong

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

"PgTilt" clashed with [Craig Timmis when they got it in after a {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop with As9h8s8d] for "PgTilt" and {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for Timmis. The {j-Spades} turn and {10-Spades} river kept the player from India in contention.

Manig Loeser then doubled through Anton "storytellerA" Morgenstern with {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} versus {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Morgenstern took an even bigger hit when he doubled Tszfai "WinEasy" Tong with {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} versus {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. The board brought {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} to keep aces in the lead.

Ichinose and van Blarcum Vanish

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 0 ante

Kosei Ichinose was all-in with a short stack and tabled the {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} from under the gun, he was called by "Blank0DMT" in the big blind with the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}.

The board came {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Spades} and that was it for the Natural8 ambassador.

Aaron van Blarcum followed him to the rail shortly after. On a flop of {j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}, van Blarcum got it in with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a pair and flushdraw only to see Tszfai "WinEasy" Tong look him up holding the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for top pair. The {q-Hearts} turn and {7-Hearts} river runout gave both players two pair and Tong had the best of it.

Another Two on the Rail

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 0 ante

The double ups are traded in rapid fashion but there were also two all-in showdowns that reduced the field from 21 to the last 19 contenders and Juha Helppi was responsible for both of them.

First Helppi flopped a boat out of the big blind when the chips went in on the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop against "Blank0DMT" on the button:

"Blank0DMT: {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Juha Helppi: {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}

The {q-Diamonds} turn and {2-Hearts} river brought no help.

And then it was Chirag "Umeshbhai" Sodha who check-called all-in for the last 388,403 on the {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop.

Chirag "Umeshbhai" Sodha: {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Juha Helppi: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The {9-Clubs} turn brought no help, nor did the {10-Clubs} on the river.

Yonathan "ninoboys80" Journo and Anton "storytellerA" Morgenstern both spent quite some time on the top of the leaderboard and it wasn't long ago that Morgenstern had a substantial lead. However that all came to a crashing end in the last few minutes and he ended up at risk against Journo.

Yonathan "ninoboys80" Journo: {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Anton "storytellerA" Morgenstern: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

On a board of {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades}, Journo nailed the straight on the turn.
