Event 33: $1,111 Every 1 for Covid Relief (Caesars Cares) ended this past Sunday. Alek Stasiak was the eventual winner taking home $343,203 and a gold bracelet. Typically a story like this is all we have at the end of a poker tournament. We follow the big names and love hearing about someone unknown making a deep run and how it came about. Event 33 gave us that story and much more.

The tournament attracted 2,323 participants, who each donated $111 of their buy-in to the Caesars Cares assistance fund; this fund supports Caesars Entertainment team members across the U.S. who have suffered unanticipated hardships as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Dray Wins the Race

Level 15 : 25,000/50,000, 6,250 ante

Vishal "bhishm" Tulsyan raised the middle, and Samuel "MEgaLow" Dray bumped it up to 200K from the button. Tulsyan clicked to 670K, and Dray called to the {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop. Tulsyan check-shoved for 1,218,066 after a bet from Dray, and got the call.

Vishal "bhishm" Tulsyan: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Samuel "MEgaLow" Dray: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Board: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Dray hit an over card on the flop, and that was all they needed to chip back up to the lead again.
