Eight Tables Remain

Level 30 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Yu "YuZhang" Zhang had previously doubled Georgios Sotiropoulos when he pushed blind on blind. Zhang was left with crumbs and got it in two hands later. He once again faced the two-time WSOP bracelet winner from Greece in showdown.

Yu "YuZhang" Zhang: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Georgios Sotiropoulos: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Board: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Zhang was drawing to spades only after the turn but missed to bow out in 65th place.

Zhao Runs Into the Aces of Haxton

Level 30 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Zhao vs Haxton
Zhao vs Haxton

Isaac Haxton kicked off the action with a raise to 80,000 in middle position. Wei Zhao simply jammed for 846,609 in the cutoff and it quickly folded back to Haxton, who snap-called.

Wei Zhao: {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Isaac Haxton: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop changed nothing yet Zhao picked up some additional outs on the {2-Spades} turn. What followed was the blank {7-Diamonds} on the river and that reduced the field to the final 63 contenders. They will now hand hand-for-hand close to the money bubble.

Badziakouski Doubles Near the Bubble

Level 30 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

The jamming blind-on-blind continued as Tamas "szagos" Adamszki ripped it into a shorter-stacked Mikita Badziakouski. However, the Belorussian called and the cards were turned over.

Mikita Badziakouski: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Tamas "szagos" Adamszki: {10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Badziakouski doubled.

Nikonorov Doubles Through Hallaert

Level 31 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Right before the blinds went up, Kenny Hallaert opened to 100,000 from under the gun. Andrei "Mr-Doberman" Nikonorov called in the hijack and the duo headed to the {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop. Hallaert bet 265,000 and Nikonorov called for the 225,486 he had behind.

Andrei "Mr-Doberman" Nikonorov: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Kenny Hallaert: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The two overcards of Hallaert whiffed the {9-Hearts} turn and the {a-Hearts} river changed nothing whatsoever either.

Two to the Money

Level 31 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Mauricio "Promoking" Ferreira Pais opened to 100,000 from the under-the-gun position and then called the all-in of Roman Hrabec in the big blind for 267,142 total.

Roman Hrabec: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Mauricio "Promoking" Ferreira Pais: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop gave Ferreira Pais the top pair and he made two pair on the {8-Diamonds} turn. ANother blank followed on the {5-Diamonds} river and Hrabec was eliminated just shy of the bubble.

Timothy Cramer and Erik Seidel were more fortunate and survived their all-in showdowns, which leaves the field with 62 players remaining.

Hallaert Applies Pressure on the Bubble

Level 31 : 25,000/50,000, 6,000 ante

Kenny Hallaert opened to 110,000 and "real niki" called out of the big blind. On the {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, "real niki" check-called for 62,900 and the {2-Diamonds} turn was checked. "real niki" also checked the {j-Clubs} river and Hallaert bet more than they had behind, which resulted in a very reluctant fold.

Zhang Busts; Chien Doubles

Level 32 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante

The tournament is now on the stone-cold money bubble.

Sihao "Mr_3rdBullet" Zhang defended the big blind against a min-raise by Isaac Haxton and got the last 25,640 in after the {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, which Haxton called.

Sihao "Mr_3rdBullet" Zhang: {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Isaac Haxton: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The {8-Clubs} turn left Zhang drawing dead to the {q-Spades} river.

Chin-Wei "davidchien88" Chien three-bet jammed for 565,659 during the same hand on another table and was called by Roland "Gwriden" Rokita.

Chin-Wei "davidchien88" Chien: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Roland "Gwriden" Rokita: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Both suits were covered and there was no upset on the {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board, keeping Chien in contention.

Mayhem Ensues as the Bubble Bursts

Level 32 : 30,000/60,000, 7,500 ante
Van Der Spuy Bubbles
Van Der Spuy Bubbles

While the GGPoker client froze during several hands close to the money bubble, it appears that it has indeed burst and Jean-Pierre "Kunkuwap" Van Der Spuy was the official bubble boy.

Michael Addamo opened to 120,000 from middle position and Van Der Spuy three-bet to 330,000 in the hijack. Back on Addamo, he clicked it back to 570,000 and Van Der Spuy then jammed for 1,544,667 only to get snapped off by the Aussie.

Jean-Pierre "Kunkuwap" Van Der Spuy: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Michael Addamo: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop and {6-Hearts} turn provided no help whatsoever to Van Der Spuy. All three remaining aces were live but the {10-Clubs} river paired the board, bursting the money bubble in spectacular fashion and vaulting Addamo to the top of the leaderboard.

Eder "BlueMoon" Campana survived with 0.2 big blinds and what followed was mayhem with an average below 20 big blinds, as half a dozen players were gone in the blink of an eye.
