Today features the first draw-game tournament of the 2021 World Series of Poker as Event #18: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball is set to begin at 3 p.m. local time.

Mixed Triple Draw Lowball features an even rotation between three games — Badugi, 2-7 Triple Draw, and A-5 Triple Draw. In each game, players aim to make the lowest possible poker hand. In Badugi, four cards are used instead of five, and matching suits count against — meaning {a-}{2-}{3-}{4-} of different suits is the best hand. Players aim to make a wheel in A-5 Triple Draw regardless of suits. In 2-7 Triple Draw, aces count as high and straights and flushes count against, which makes {2-}{3-}{4-}{5-}{7-} the nuts.

Players will begin with 35,000 in chips with blinds starting at 200/300 with 300/600 betting limits. Levels will last 60 minutes and players will get a 15-minute break after every two levels. Late registration will last through level 8 (approximately 12 a.m.) and play will conclude for the day after level 10.

In 2019, Dan Zack took down the gold bracelet and $160,447 after making an improbable comeback to topple the 296-player field.
