The first part of Day 2 has been good to Areeb Jamil as he's greatly increased his stack since the start of the day.
He was spotted with his large stack involved in a hand with an opponent on the flop that read . He bet 14,000 as a continuation bet which folded out his opponent and he added more to his growing stack.
Timothy Rusk raised in early position to 9,000, getting a call from David Bashel on his left and Dylan Linde in the big blind.
The flop came down with Linde checking to Rusk who bet 12,000. Bashel called to see a turn and Linde folded.
The turn came a which Rusk checked and before Bashel could do anything the dealer pulled the top card off of the deck. Rusk and Bashel saw the would have been the river before Bashel could act. The floor was called over and the card was shuffled back into the deck with the action still on Bashel. Bashel bet 21,000 and Rusk called.
The river came the which the table got a good chuckle at and the action checked through for Rusk to show his which was good enough for the pot.
Action was on the turn with a large pot of about 140,000 in the middle.
The board read . Michael Kirkpatrick was on the button and bet 38,000. From the big blind, Travis Thowe thought about it for several moments before eventually laying it down and the substantial pot was shipped over to Kirkpatrick.
There was a three-way pot on the turn with the board showing . The first player to act on the cutoff bet 16,000 into a pot of about 30,000. Yeon Bae raised to 40,000 from the button. The third player in the hand folded and action was back on the initial bettor.
After about a minute he folded and Bae took in the pot.
