Torre Cracks Aces to Eliminate Mcvay

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 10,000 ante
Bryce McVay
Bryce McVay

Bryce Mcvay moved all-in from an early position and was called by his neighbor, Giovani Torre.

The hands were tabled and it was the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} held by the at-risk Mcvay who was ahead of the {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} held by Torre.

The dealer spread the flop of {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades}, which changed nothing.

The {8-Spades} turn card opened up a gutshot straight draw for Torre, but Mcvay's aces still led.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and that was the gutshot out that Torre needed to complete his straight and take down the hand, which in turn eliminated Mcvay from the tournament.

Joao Vieira shoved all-in preflop for less than 100,000 from late position and Sriharsha Doddapaneni called in the small blind, covering him.

Joao Vieira: {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Sriharsha Doddapaneni: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Doddapaneni eliminated Vieira with a set of nines.

Murata Versus Scaletta

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 10,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn with a board reading {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} with about 190,000 in the center, between Phil Scaletta and Eder Murata.

Scaletta bet 130,000 which Murata called and the river came out a {10-Spades} Scaletta thought for some time before betting 120,000 which Murata responded to with going all-in for 420,000. Scaletta went into the tank but ultimately let his hand go, giving Murata a very large pot.
