2022 World Series of Poker
Day 1 of Event #64: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deep Stack at the 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally's and Paris Las Vegas saw the 2,858 entrants whittled down to only 102 over the course of 22 levels. Those entrants created a $1,458,580 prize pool and a first place prize weighing in at $199,466.
It was Frenchman Guillaume Soumier that ended the day with the chip lead, he bagged up 3,055,000 chips, a very healthy stack coming into Day 2, which commences at noon local time on July 1.

Plenty of notables made it through to Day 2 relatively unscathed. Tommy Le (1,310,000), Michael Mizrachi (1,105,000), Allan Le (880,000), Vivian Saliba (830,000), and reigning WSOP Main Event champion Koray Aldemir (265,000) to name a few.
The money bubble was burst when only 429 players remained. Two players were eliminated during the same hand to put players straight into the money. Many big names names saw a return on their investment, including Barry Greenstein, Jesse Sylvia, Brad Ruben, Matt Waxman, Anson Tsang, Erik Cajelais, Joe Cada, and Jeremy Ausmus.
