Burtin Can't Hold A Set

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action was caught on a {7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop. David Larson in the big blind checked so did Nicolas Burtin in middle position, to a player in the button who bet 2,300. Larson called but Burtin announced all in for 15,000. The button player tanked a while before folding but it did not take that much time for Larson to call.

Nicolas Burtin: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
David Larson: {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

Burtin held a set of sevens against a pair, and a gutshot straight draw for Larson. The {q-Spades} did not change anything, but the {9-Clubs} on the river gave a straight for Larson and Burtin was eliminated.

Groonroos Gets There

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Joining the action five ways on the flop of {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, action checked to a player in middle position who bet 1,700. The hijack called, the small blind called as did Scott Gronroos in the big blind. The player in early position raised to 10,500 and only Gronroos called.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Gronroos moved all in for 29,000 effective. His opponent made the call.

Early Position: {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Scott Gronroos: {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Gronroos was behind but had a flush draw and an open-ended-straight-draw. Gronroos got there as the river came the {4-Diamonds} giving him the queen high flush and eliminating his opponent.

Battle Of Limpers

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

First to act, Nathan Pitts limped it to 500, so did Jennifer Cassell from the cut off, and both players in the blinds.

On a {2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop, Pitts bet 1,800 and Cassell called, just like the player in the big blind. Then, a {4-Hearts} turn appeared and Pitts bet 9,000 this time, and only Cassell called. The {8-Clubs} river completed that board and Pitts announced all in.

No need to count, Cassell snap-folded and Pitts took that pot.

Cohen Eliminates Opponent

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Joining the action on the river the board read {q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

Andre Cohen was in the small blind and moved his opponent all in by betting 50,000. His opponent was on the button and called for his tournament life but was met with disappointment as Cohen turned over {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for two pair.

The button couldn't beat Cohen and mucked as he hit the rails.
