Pham Wins Four-Bet Pot

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
David Pham
David Pham

David Pham raised from middle position and was three-bet by the button to 3,500. Pham put in the four-bet to 10,300 and his opponent called.

The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Pham down bet 5,500. The button called.

Pham checked to his opponent on the {a-Clubs} turn. The button bet 6,000 and Pham put in the raise to 16,000.

The {8-Diamonds} was the river and Pham moved all in with his opponent having less than 10,000. The button didn't think he was good and decided to fold rather than calling for his tournament life as Pham collected the chips.

Sanford Takes It Before The Break

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

After a raise from Georges Sanford in middle position to 1,400, Tony Miles called from the button, so did the player in the big blind.
Then, on a {9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop, the big blind checked, Sanford bet 2,500. Miles quickly folded, but not the player in the big blind who jammed for 15,000. Sanford quickly called.

Opponent: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Georges Sanford: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Top pair for both players but Sanford kicker made the difference. The {9-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river did not change anything and Sanford was able to eliminate a player right before the dinner break.

Laureys Eliminates Bacome On The River

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

After a raise to 1,600 from a player in early position, three players called, including Adam Bacome on the button. From the small blind, Glenn Laureys announced all in for his last 10,500 and everybody folded, excepted Bacome, who eventually called.

Glenn Laureys: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Adam Bacome: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The flop {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Spades} was pretty safe for Laureys, just like the {6-Diamonds} turn, but a crual {a-Diamonds} on the river eliminated him from the tournament.
