Castro Rivers Small Pair to Stay Alive

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Jorgio Castro: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}/{j-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{3-Spades}
Alex Livingston: {2-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}/{2-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Action was picked up on fourth street, Alex Livingston bet and was called by Jorgio Castro. On fifth street, Livingtson bet again and Castro raised to put himself at risk, Livingston called.

Livingston had only a pair of deuces heading the the river, so Castro needed to pair any of his cards to stay alive. He slowly peeled the river card which was the {3-Spades} to pair his three and barely pip the deuces to remain in the hunt.

Holder Didn't Hold Against Vornicu

Level 21 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Kevin Macphee {x-}{x-}/ {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts} - folded on seventh street
Valentin Vornicu {x-}{x-}/{k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}/{x-}
Paul Holder {x-}{x-}/{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{j-Spades}/{x-}

Paul Holder's small stack was in the middle of the table on the fourth street, with both Kevin Macphee and Valentin Vornicu who checked the fifth and sixth street.

On the last street, Vornicu bet and Macphee folded.
Vornicu just showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a set and with {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} Holder couldn't beat that.

He ended his tournament with a 29th-place finish for $3,018.

Set Of Queens not enough

Thomas Taylor{x-}{x-}/{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}/{x-}

Action was caught with Kenny Hsiung betting on the sixth and seventh street. Thomas Taylor snap-called on the last bet with {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} but it was not enough to beat {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for Hsiung, who made a full house.

Raymond Henson: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-}{9-}
Kevin MacPhee: {5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs}/{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Valentin Vornicu departed from the hand early after a two-bet and a three-bet. Kevin MacPhee found himself all in and trailing as he had buried queens while Henson had buried aces.

The river card was dealt and MacPhee tabled the case ace the {a-Hearts} to win the pot dramatically with two pair to greatly hurt Henson's stack as he flipped over his defeated cards quickly following the bad beat and Macphee staved off elimination.

Andy Bloch was short-stacked for a long time, but this time, he could not find another double up.

All of his chips were involved in the middle with a decent starting hand of {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}.

He was facing the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Spades} of Elhindi Albarazi who finished with a spade flush when the board ran out.
