Aronowitz Building Up

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Matthew Aronowitz: {6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}/{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{x-}
Hojeong Lee: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Spades}/{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

On sixth street, Matthew Aronowitz bet and Hojeong Lee called. Lee bet on seventh street and Aronowitz check-called to leave himself with just a few chips behind.

Lee announced "aces-up" and tabled it, but Aronowitz had that beat with trip sevens as he gathered the critical pot to move himself to a more comfortable stack.

Mitchell Putterman {x-}{x-}/{j-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}/{x-}

John Racener had the last chips of Mitchel Putterman, while Putterman was trying to make a flush with four spades in his hands, thanks to {a-Spades} and {7-Spades}. But he hit {6-Clubs} and finally blanked on seventh street. Racener had just {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} but it was enough to scoop the pot.

John Racener is now close to the million chips with 12 players remaining.

John Racener: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{k-Spades}/{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Daniel Scroggins was all in for his short stack on third street. John Racener and Kevin MacPhee played out a pot as both players made a pair on fourth street. Racener bet his smaller pair, MacPhee called.

Both players checked fifth street. On sixth street MacPhee bet when he made two pair up and Racener called.

MacPhee checked seventh street and Racener bet. MacPhee went deep into the tank as the bet was for almost all of his stack. After over a minute MacPhee called. Racener tabled a full house with the {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, while MacPhee was unimproved on his showing two pair.

Meanwhile, Scroggins had a sweat as he revealed {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for two pair but his river was a blank {5-Hearts} and he was eliminated.

Kevin MacPhee was eliminated by Hojeong Kim in the next hand following the big lost pot to John Racener.

He was drawing dead before the river as he walked away before it was turned over and just like that the field was down to just ten players.

Alex Livingston: {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}/{q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}/{5-Diamonds}

Action was picked up on sixth street as Brad Ruben bet and Alex Livingston raised, Ruben called. Livingston continued his aggression with a bet on seventh street.

"I have aces up" said Ruben as he looked at Livingston, continuing the banter the two players had been having for the last level. "I know you have trip jacks, I guess I'll just pay you" and he called.

Sure enough, Livingston tabled the {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for trip jacks.

"Why can't I bet a better player and fold there?" asked Ruben, the winner of his fourth WSOP bracelet just two days ago.
