Paul Evans Eliminated in 20th Place ($20,890)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Paul Evans
Paul Evans

Paul Evans pushed for what appeared to be 400,000, and Bill Klein called to see both players turn over aces with decent kickers.

Paul Evans: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Bill Klein: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was of no help, but Evans picked up some outs on the {J-Spades} turn. Evans initially celebrated, but just for a heartbeat, when he spotted the {Q-Spades} on the river. That very same card completed the straight for Klein, and Evans was eliminated in 20th place for $20,890.

Kelley Brown Eliminated in 18th Place ($26,148)

While the other two tables racked up their chips already to prepare for the upcoming two-table redraw, there was one hand still going on, and the dealer announced, "Seat open."

Kelley Brown walked away from the table, while Bill Klein sent the second opponent in a row to the rail. Brown pushed from under the gun for 400,000 with {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, and Klein called in the big blind with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. Klein hit trip aces, and Brown failed to get there with a diamond flush draw, becoming the first player to receive $26,148 for his efforts.

Harvey Lewis Eliminated in 17th Place ($26,148)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Harvey Lewis
Harvey Lewis

Right after being left very short from the previous hand, Mansour Alipourfard was in the big blind and moved all in for 370,000. Harvey Lewis called, while a third player in the hand folded.

Mansour Alipourfard: {K-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Harvey Lewis: {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}, and Alipourfard more than doubled.

One hand later, Dieter Dechant raised to 110,000, and Gina Bacon three-bet to 300,000. Lewis moved all in from the big blind, and Dechant folded. Bacon quickly called.

Harvey Lewis: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Gina Bacon: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop gave Bacon trip kings, and the {8-Clubs} turn and {5-Hearts} river were of no help for Lewis to see him depart in 17th place for $26,148.

Richard Mombourquette Eliminated in 16th Place ($26,148)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Richard Mombourquette
Richard Mombourquette

David Michaud doubled through Richard Mombourquette to leave the latter very short before Paul Spitzberg scored a big double through Anthony Licastro. Spitzberg got his stack in with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, and Licastro had {A-}{7-}. The board ran out {9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and Spitzberg doubled.

One last hand was still to be played before the dinner break, and Mombourquette was all in and at risk for very few big blinds with {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Spitzberg had yet another big pocket pair and looked him up with {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}. After a board of {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Mombourquette headed to the rail to collect $26,148.

The 15 remaining players have $32,995 locked up.

David Michaud Eliminated in 15th Place ($32,995)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
David Michaud
David Michaud

David Michaud moved all in from the small blind, and he was quickly called by Anthony Licastro.

Michaud: {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Licastro: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The flop gave Michaud a straight draw when it came {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, but he bricked out on the {5-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river, and that secured his elimination from the tournament. For his 15th-place finish, Michaud collected $32,995.

Mansour Alipourfard Eliminated in 14th Place ($32,995)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Mansour Alipourfard
Mansour Alipourfard

Eluterio Rodriguez raised to 130,000, and Mansour Alipourfard moved all in from one seat over. Once the action was back on Rodriguez, he asked to pull in his raise to determine how much more he had to call. The shove of Alipourfard was for another 610,000 on top, and Rodriguez carefully cut out the chips for that and called a mere 10 seconds later.

Mansour Alipourfard: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Eluterio Rodriguez: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

"Eight on the flop," Rodriguez said before the flop fell {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

"Eight on the turn," Rodriguez demanded. It was the {3-Hearts} instead.

"Eight on the river," Rodriguez added. The third time was not the charm either, but the blank {5-Hearts} river was no threat.

"Good run," the rail and players at the table said while Alipourfard headed to the payout desk. He collected $32,995 for his efforts, and the field was reduced to the last 13 hopefuls.

Federico Castaing Eliminated in 13th Place ($32,995)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Federico Castaing
Federico Castaing

Mark Lillge raised to 150,000 on the button, and Federico Castaing moved all in from one seat over in the small blind. Lillge asked for a count, and the shove was for 440,000 in total, which Lillge called after brief consideration.

Federico Castaing: {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Mark Lillge: {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

Lillge's kicker was narrowly ahead, but Castaing took the lead on the {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop. The {8-Diamonds} turn gave Lillge a gutshot, and the {9-Hearts} on the river completed the straight to send Castaing to the rail in 13th place for $32,995.

Bill Klein Eliminated in 12th Place ($41,972)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Bill Klein
Bill Klein

The latest setback took a toll on Bill Klein's stack, and he dropped to around 30 big blinds. With the fast-paced action on both tables, it was just a matter of time before he would make a move and ended up all in, only to face Mark Lillge with the far superior pocket pair in the blinds.

Bill Klein: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Mark Lillge: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop didn't change much, and Klein was drawing dead on the {J-Diamonds} turn. He tapped the table in defeat as the meaningless {5-Clubs} appeared on the river.

Peter Smaha Eliminated in 11th Place ($41,972)

Peter Smaha
Peter Smaha

William Murray raised to 120,000 from the cutoff. Lewis LeClair called from the small blind before Peter Smaha moved all in for 365,000 from the big blind. Murray called, and that led to a fold from LeClair.

Murray: {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Smaha: {9-Spades}{7-Spades}

The board came {J-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, and that offered no help to Smaha at any point. He hit the rail in 11th place, taking home $41,972 for his finish and bringing the final ten players down to the unofficial final table.

Eluterio Rodriguez Eliminated in 10th Place ($41,972)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Eluterio Rodriguez
Eluterio Rodriguez

From the button, Anthony Licastro raised to 240,000. Lewis LeClair then moved all in from the small blind for 1,140,000. From the big blind, Eluterio Rodriguez moved all in for 1,050,000. Licastro folded, and the hands were turned up.

Rodriguez: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
LeClair: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

It looked as if it would end in a chop, but the flop came {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, giving LeClair a flush draw and Rodriguez a backdoor flush draw, as well. The {J-Spades} on the turn sealed Rodriguez's fate, though, as it made LeClair the winning flush. The river was the {10-Spades}, and Rodriguez was eliminated in 10th place, bringing the final nine players down to the official final table.
