Bryn Kenney (from a previous event)

On a {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, Iraj Parvizi had 50,000 in front of him in early position, and so did James Calderaro in middle position. Bryn Kenney moved all in for 149,000 from the small blind, and Parvizi and Calderaro both called.

Parvizi and Calderaro both checked the {6-Spades} turn and the {2-Spades} river, and all hands were tabled.

Calderaro: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Kenney: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Parvizi: {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Kenney's trip jacks did not hold up, and Calderaro won the hand with his runner-runner flush.

Beylin Takes Control with a Three-Bet

Level 13 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

There was a raise to 10,000 from a player in early position, and both the hijack and button called. Konstantin Beylin three-bet to 55,000 from the small blind and got called by both the initial raiser and the button.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, and Beylin quickly bet 100,000. Both of his opponents mucked their cards, and Beylin raked in the pot.

Calderaro First Player to a Million

Level 13 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

James Calderaro

After arriving at the table in the middle of a big hand between two of the chip leaders, James Calderaro was faced with what looked to be a pot-sized bet of 225,000 from Iraj Parvizi. The board read {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs}, and Calderaro was doing all of the talking.

"What a run-out. I flopped top set and spades. Did you just go runner-runner on me?" Calderaro was trying to get any information possible from Parvizi. "Did you know I flopped top set?" Calderaro asked him.

"Yeah, you were betting like you did," Parvizi replied.

Calderaro asked the table for a couple minutes to think about his decision and finally called.

"You win," Parvizi said, and Calderaro tabled a set of queens to scoop a monster pot and become the first player over 1,000,000 chips.

Ochana Pressures Tollerene

Level 13 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

With the board reading {8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and around 60,000 in the middle, Ben Tollerene had a bet of 35,000 in front of him in the cutoff, and Eddie Ochana raised to 155,000 from middle position. Tollerene went into the tank, and eventually, someone called the clock. The floorperson counted down, and just before his time ran out, Tollerene folded his cards.

Ochana took the pot and continued to chip up.

Kamran Uses His Position

Michael Kamran
Michael Kamran

There was a raise to 12,000 from a player in middle position, and Michael Kamran called from the button, along with both blinds.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}, and the action was checked to Kamran, who bet 40,000. The small blind folded, the big blind called, and the preflop raiser let his hand go, as well.

Going heads-up to the turn, the {5-Hearts} hit the felt, and the big blind checked. Kamran bet 60,000, and his opponent quickly mucked his cards.

Beylin Picks Off Wang

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

With the board reading {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{5-Spades} and around 100,000 in the pot, David Wang had his whole stack of 97,000 all in. Action was on Konstantin Beylin in the cutoff. Beylin went into the tank, and eventually, the clock was called. As the tournament director counted down the seconds, Beylin pushed forward a stack to call.

Wang tabled his hand, and Beylin's {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} for aces up was best. Wang was eliminated, and Beylin took down the pot.
