Aces and a Double for Shakerchi

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Bertrand Grospellier had the bring-in and Talal Shakerchi completed. Grospellier called, and then called a bet on fourth before both players checked fifth.

On sixth, Shakerchi bet and Grospellier called.

Grospellier: {X-}{X-} / {3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} / {X-}
Shakerchi: {X-}{X-} / {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{A-Hearts} / {X-}

On seventh, Shakerchi bet his final 2,500 and Grospellier called.

Shakerchi tabled his {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a pair of aces as Grospellier showed his {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Clubs} for a pair of kings.

Grospellier Picks Up Some Chips

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Bertrand Grospellier and his short stack had the bring-in and Shirley Rosario completed. Eric Wasserson called, as did Grospellier.

On fourth, when Grospellier made an open pair, he double bet to 10,000 and both Rosario and Wasserson swiftly mucked.

Grospellier: {X-}{X-} / {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Rosario: {X-}{X-} / {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Wasserson: {X-}{X-} / {5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Luneau Legged by Mirrasouli's Full House

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Alex Luneau
Alex Luneau

Alex Luneau found himself all in against Sean Mirrasouli on either third or fourth street as each player's boards ran out as follows:

Luneau: {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} / {2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Mirrasouli: {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} / {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{A-Spades}

Once the dealer pitched sixth street and Luneau saw he was drawing dead against aces full, he made a quick exit of the tournament area.

On seventh, Mirrasouli found the {J-Hearts} as Luneau's final card was revealed to be a meaningless {2-Hearts}.

Shakerchi Sent Home

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Talal Shakerchi lost a huge hand to Shaun Deeb to be left with just 2,000 in chips.

In the next hand, after anteing 1,000, Shakerchi called all in for his last 1,000, following an Eric Wasserson complete. Randy Ohel also called, and he check-called a bet on fourth from Wasserson.

On fifth, Wasserson again bet and Ohel check-called before leading out on sixth with Wasserson folding his {J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} in the hole for jacks up.

Wasserson: {X-}{X-} / {J-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Shakerchi: {X-}{X-} / {K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}
Ohel: {X-}{X-} / {7-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

The all-in Shakerchi tabled his {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} to be drawing dead to Ohel's {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for two pair.

On seventh, Ohel caught an insignificant {9-Spades} as Shakerchi just mucked.

Josephy Exits

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Bertrand Grospellier had the bring-in and Cliff Josephy completed. Grospellier called, and then called a bet on fourth as well as Josephy's all-in bet on fifth.

Grospellier: {5-Hearts}{4-Spades} / {4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Josephy: {K-Spades}{3-Hearts} / {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

With the at-risk Josephy in the lead, he would catch the {6-Clubs} as Grospellier improved with the {8-Spades} for eights up.

On seventh, neither player improved, and Josephy was eliminated.

Split Kings Double for Yu

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ben Yu completed and John Monnette two-bet. Yu called and checked fourth as Monnette bet out 5,000. Yu check-raised to 10,000 and Monnette called before calling a bet on fifth.

On sixth, Yu tossed in his last 1,000 and Monnette called.

Yu: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} / {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Monnette: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} / {7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}

With Yu needing to fade an ace, he would put a lock on the hand when his final card was a {K-Spades} for trips. Monnette found the {3-Clubs} and dropped to 405,000 while Yu moved on up to 64,000 in chips.
