Abdine Rivers Flush

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

With the board showing {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{a-Clubs} the player in the small blind bet 5,000 and Shivan Abdine called from middle position.

Both players then opted to check as the {5-Clubs} completed the board. The small blind then flipped over his {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} for a set of aces and Abdine went to muck his hand.

He took a look at his cards and realised he had a flush before turning over his {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} after thinking he lost set-over-set. He apologised before raking in the pot.

Ma Left Short After Losing a Flip

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Zhi Ma committed roughly 10,000 chips against one opponent's preflop shove. Ma's call was four roughly half of his own stack, putting his opponent at risk.

Zhi Ma: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} which was trouble for Ma, and the {5-Spades} on the turn left him drawing to only a chop. The river was the {K-Hearts} which changed nothing so Ma was forced to send over the chips, doubling up his opponent and leaving him with roughly 9,000 chips.

Strang Doubles Up

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The board read {9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Errolyn Strang was all in for 6,500 and was matched by her opponent.

Strang hekd {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and had taken down the pot against her opponent who was showing {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The kicker was enough to see Strang survive further in this event.

Pritchard Doubles Through Saab

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Jason Pritchard raised to 600 from middle position and was called by the player in the cutoff, Majib Saab on the button, as well as the player in the big blind.

The flop came {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and the big blind checked. Pritchard bet 1,500. The cutoff folded. Saab then re-raised forcing a fold from the big blind. Pritchard called with his remaining 8,075 in chips and was at risk.

Jason Pritchard: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Majib Saab: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Pritchard had flopped a straight and was up against Saab's top-two pair. The board ran out favourably for Pritchard with the {7-Clubs} and {8-Hearts} not improving Saab's hand.

Hinrichsen Gets a Big River Bet Paid

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

There was roughly 15,000 already in the pot between Andrew Hinrichsen and one other opponent. The board showed {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Hinrichsen's one opponent checked it over. Hinrichsen then put out a bet of 9,000 which sent his opponent into the tank. He thought for about a minute before he finally called.

Hinrichsen turned up his {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair and it was good as his opponent just flashed a {J-Diamonds} before pitching it into the muck. With that, Hinrichsen took down the pot and put him up to around 55,000 chip.
