Vincent Huang
Vincent Huang

Vincent Huang moved all in for 86,000 from under the gun and watched as the action folded around to Moustafa Haidar in the big blind.

Haidar asked for a count, then called, before both players tabled their cards.

Haidar: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Huang: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}

"So live," joked Huang, once the cards were tabled.

"Time for payback," replied Haidar, cheekily.

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, improving Haidar to two pair, resulting in the demise of Huang.

Croc Snaps Up Chips From Kumar

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Billy Argyros
Billy Argyros

With the community cards spread {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and over 135,000 already in the pot, big blind Billy 'the croc' Argyros had checked the action over to Anish Kumar (cutoff) who had fired out a sizable 104,000 bet and the croc was deep in thought.

Argyros began to deconstruct the hand: "So you raised pre-flop to 25k, bet the flop for 25k, bet 30k on the turn... You're either really strong or you haven't got anything. Give me a second guys, I've just got to hit the tank."

After some time mulling it over Argyros counted out a calling stack.

"I won't have much left if I call and I'm wrong," he mused, before faking the call with a big chip lift. Kumar remained still as a statue.

"Oh, you're good, son, you didn't even flinch," chuckled Argyros.

"Ok, I call," he said, finally slamming down the call and showing {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Kumar tapped the table and mucked.

"Nice had sir," said Kumar as the pot was shipped Argyros' way and he climbed to just over 300,000 while Kumar dropped to 170,000.

Floor's Ruling Cripples Snell; Finds a Double; Eliminated Shortly After

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Jo Snell
Jo Snell

Jo Snell raised to 35,000 from under the gun plus one. Chao Duan moved all in for 187,000 from the hijack. Whilst the dealer was confirming Duan's stack, Yang Lei moved all in from the small blind, for a total of 381,000.

With so much commotion around and messages coming across the loud-speaker, Snell called thinking he was only matching Duan's bet. It was ruled that his call in addition to pushing chips forward stood and Snell would have to match Lei's all in too.

Duan: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Lei: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Snell: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

"Yes!" cheered a relieved Snell, after he saw the window jack fall on the {4-Spades}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop. Unfortunately for him, a king appeared as well, sending Duan and Lei to the lead.

The board ran out the {10-Hearts} then {2-Hearts}, resulting in Duan and Lei chopping the main pot, and Lei scooping the side pot between him and Snell.

Snell was able to double up a few hands later when his {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} bested Duan's {k-Spades}{q-Spades} on a {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} board.

He would then fall to the rail moments later to see his rollercoaster day come to an end prematurely.

Rafferty Takes From Chiu

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Edwin Chiu is sitting on a mountain of chips but has not long shipped some the way of Tom Rafferty. It was Chiu the man in the driving seat, opening the action from under-the-gun for 35,000 with Rafferty the only caller on the button to take play heads-up to a flop of {2-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

This brought a 27,000 continuation bet from Chiu and another call from Rafferty to bring the two to the {10-Clubs} turn, where the action went check, check.

The {6-Hearts} river saw Chiu check once more and Rafferty decided the right amount to bet was 45,000. Chiu called but mucked when Rafferty rolled over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} to climb to 418,000. Chiu still has plenty though and is sitting on 3.1 million, with the tournament floor colouring up some of his massive stack with dark blue 100k chips now in play.
