Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Ling Liu (left) found herself in bad shape with ace-jack
Ling Liu (left) found herself in bad shape with ace-jack

Ling Liu moved all-in from middle position for around 200,000 or so and Zhi Ma, who had Liu covered, moved all-in from the hijack. Button Trevor Saunders had more than Liu but less that Ma and made the call for his tournament life and the three tabled their hole cards.

Ling Liu: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Zhi Ma: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Trevor Saunders: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Saunders looked in great shape and the window card made his day, with the {k-Hearts} hitting the table, bringing a little whoop from Saunders. The rest of the board ran out {7-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Ling Liu hit the rail in 39th for AU$7,598, Ma was left with a paltry 8,000 and Saunders stacked up to 835,000.

Chow Doubles Through Hassan Then Doubles Hassan

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Huss Hassan
Huss Hassan

Andrew White opened the action from middle position with a raise to 50,000 but folded to a Shane De Clifford small blind three-bet of 167,000, leaving De Clifford free to scoop up some chips without showdown to climb to 1.64 million while White dropped to 375,000 or so.

The following hand saw Huss Hassan open the action for 50,000 from the hijack and call Jensen Chow's button all-in shove of 527,000 and the two tabled their cards.

Huss Hassan: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Jensen Chow: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Chow won the race immediately on the {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, with the {k-Spades} turn and {4-Spades} river guaranteeing him the double to just over 1-million in chips, with Hassan dropping to 252,000.

However, the next orbit the duo clashed again, Hassan committing his last 250,000 in chips with king-jack and Chow again waking up with ace-queen. This time though it was Hassan who won the hand after pairing his king on the runout to climb to 600,000 in chips, while Chow ended up with 880,000.

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Jarrod Wright: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Lior Segre: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

It proved to be the right move at the right time for Wright, who doubled up after the {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Spades} runout to climb to 850,000 while Segre dropped to 400,000 after the hand.

Khoueis Eliminated by Duan

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Suzy Khoueis
Suzy Khoueis

Chao Duan raised to 50,000 from middle position before the action fell on Suzy Khoueis on the button. She threw out 55,000 before taking 5,000 back.

"Did you mean to raise?" asked Duan, before checking his option after the dealer produced the {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop. Khouies slid out 100,000.

"If I wanted to raise you pre I would've three-bet you," Khoueis responded. Duan called shortly after.

The turn produced the {7-Hearts} and Duan checked. Khouies then moved all in for 285,000. Duan went into the tank for several minutes.

"What do you think I have?" asked Khouies.

"I think ace-king," replied Duan.

"If you think I have ace-king then call," responded Khoueis.

Duan eventually called, but was behind with his {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, after Khoueis tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for an over pair.

The dealer then delivered the {9-Clubs} on the river, giving Duan the winning hand with two pair, instantly frustrating Khoueis who was eliminated.

Khoueis gave Duan an earful before walking away from the table in disappointment.

De Clifford Happy to Show Hassan

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Shane De Clifford raised to 49,000 from middle position and was called by Huss Hassan in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Hassan checked. De Clifford continued for 50,000. Hassan then raised to 155,000. De Clifford didn't take long three-betting all in which had Hassan well covered.

Hassan deliberated for just a moment before mucking his hand in disappointment.

"You want to see?" asked De Clifford. Hassan smiled and nodded.

De Clifford then tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} before raking in the pot. Hassan tapped the table in appreciation.
