Interesting Tablemates

I've just took a wander on the upper section of the casino and seen some interesting tables lineups, including:

Mark Vos and Micheal Keiner

Andy Black and friend of Pokernews Catman (That is his actual name)

Phil Gordon, Jeffrey Lisandro and EPT Champion Andreas Hoivold

Annie Duke and Richard Ashby (Ashby is a very talented player in the UK and due a big win, one to watch)

Level & Blind Structure

Here's how H.O.R.S.E. is going to work. Eight hands of each game (hold'em, Omaha, etc.) will be dealt at each table before moving on the the next one in the rotation. Betting limits will go up after a full rotation of all five games is complete.

So, we'll begin with eight hands of limit hold'em with 75-150 blinds and betting limits of 150-300 before moving on to eight hands of Omaha 8-or-better, followed by eight hands each of razz, stud, and stud 8-or-better with a 25 ante, a 50 bring-in, and betting limits of 150-300.

Each "level" encompasses a full rotation of all five games and there will be a break every 100 minutes, regardless of what game players are on.

Tough Tables

With a field this stacked, they're all tough, but here's a few we've spotted:

Table 1: Michael Binger, John Juanda

Table 2: Scott Fischman, Lee Watkinson, Jani Sointula, Jesse Jones

Table 3: Michael Mizrachi, Doyle Brunson

Table 5: Tony G, Andy Bloch, Jeff Madsen, Jennifer Harman, Brandon Adams

Table 6: Robert Mizrachi, Todd Brunson, Scotty Nguyen

Table 8: David Levi, Robert Williamson III, Humberto Brenes

An early dent for Black

Andy Black has just lost a sizable pot (I say sizable because I am yet to learn what the chip values are - doh)

Hold'em hand, Black called a bet on every street until the river which looked like this:

{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Christoph Niesert was the culprit who bet on the river, Black reraised and Niesert called.

Niesert {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Black shows a lone {A-Clubs}.

And Niesert scoops a big pot.

Vos is the Boss

Mark Vos has come to play. I've just seen him win three big stud hands back to back and he is up to a healthy looking 14,000.

David Williams has just arrived late looking a little stressed out. He rushed to his seat, won a pretty big Omaha hand and rushed away from his seat again to find a waitress to get him a much needed mineral water.

Yellow Buttons

There are eight small yellow plastic buttons on the poker tables. The dealers are using those to keep track of the number of hands that they are dealing. A new game is played after every eight hands. Betting levels are 100 minutes in length.
