Gold's Rush Continues

Jamie Gold is close to 50,000 after he took down another pot. This one featured three-way. On a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, the big blind checked as did Gold. Roland de Wolfe bet out for 5150 or roughly the pot. The big blind folded and Gold said, "Pot!"

De Wolfe tossed his hand into the muck and Gold smiled as he added more chips to his already hefty stack.

I've changed my mind, I want to bet

Interesting hand on the REAL table of death.

On a board of {7-Spades}{8-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Man with Glasses checks
Howard Lederer checks and shows {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{A-Spades} for a straight.
Man with Glasses doesnt show his hand and announces "I want to bet"
Dealer tells him he can't.
Man with Glasses throws 3000 chips in the middle "I bet"
Dealer puts the 3000 back and orders him to show his {J-Spades}{2-Spades}XX

The flush wins and Tony G erupts into laughter.

"Thats the greatest hand I've ever played" Lederer announces.

"Very Good Last Card"

Henrik Olander has just won a monster three-way pot, Patrik Antonius and Mark Vos being forced to step down as the Scandinavian pushed all-in for several thousand on a {Q-Spades}{K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board.

"That was a very good last card for you, huh?" inquires the Devilfish seemingly already knowing of the answer.

Olander, as cucumber cool as ever, simply smiled and concurred with the leather clad Fish.

Daniel Negreanu Out

Daniel Negreanu ran into a tough hand according to a tablemate, when his opponent made the nut flush on the turn, with Daniel putting his chips in. The river did not pair the board, leaving his opponent with the nut flush, and Daniel mucked his cards.

De Wolfe Takes One from Gold

On a paired board with three diamonds, Jamie Gold fired out 5,000. Roland de Wolfe went into the tank. Gold started his usual table banter. "I don't have Aces full. I either have the nut flush or nothing."

A player not in the hand called a clock on De Wolfe. He then quickly called and showed a Jack-high flush. Gold flipped over K-K-x-x for two pair. De Wolfe sniffed out a bluff and dragged the pot around 15,000.

Gordon has his Full Tilt Buddies Back

Phil Gordon
Phil Gordon
Phil Gordon has just walked over to me and asked who was winning the HORSE event. I asked him if he wanted a bet on the chip leader. He told me he bet it was Jennifer Harman. I decided not to take the bet (as she is indeed the chip leader).

Man, that Phil Gordon is one tall drink of water

The Great Dane is not in Pain

Gus Hansen has just joined what is becoming an interesting table:

Justin Bonomo
Dan Shak
Dave Colclough

Gus arrived late but has around 40,000 chips already.

Elsewhere Andy Black has made a good start to the day, sitting on around 30,000.
