Schafer Crippled, Doubles

[user66118]

James Schafer and Michael Drummond tangled in a preflop pot that left Drummond all in for 204,000. He was on the good end, though, working with {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} against Schafer's {A-Spades} {Q-Spades}.

You could almost hear Drummond's heart quicken as the {3-Spades} {4-Spades} {6-Hearts} gave him a big sweat with two to come. Schafer used his, "One time," but his prayers would go unanswered. The turn {8-Clubs} was the wrong shade of black, and the river {6-Diamonds} was a miss, too. When he paid off his debt, Schafer was left with just 59,000 chips.

On the next hand, he three-bet shoved against Alex Dovzhenko, and he was lucky enough to wake up with {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. Dovzhenko called with {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades} and the {3-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs} board has kept Schafer in the game for now.
