Ken Beckers Eliminated in 3rd Place (€25,530)

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Bjorn Verbakel raised the button to 525,000 and Ken Beckers then opted to three-bet the pot for 1,825,000 in the small blind. Zhao Feng was in the tank in the big blind with the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, which he then let go.

Verbakel moved all-in and that sent Beckers into the tank, who had some 2,200,000 behind and invested nearly half of his stack by now. The crying call of Beckers followed and Verbakel instantly told Feng "I knew you had kings."

Ken Beckers: {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Bjorn Verbakel: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

"Optimistic three-bet," Verbakel joked and then added "you can't fold anymore."

The {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop gave Beckers gained some equity. He improved on the {6-Hearts} turn but the {j-Hearts} river counterfeited the two pair of Beckers to eliminate the Belgian in 3rd place for €25,530.

There will now be a break of more than 20 minutes before the heads-up battle for the gold bracelet gets underway.
