Arden Cho

Arden Lim Cho is an American actress, singer, and model best known for her portrayal of Kira Yukimura in the MTV television series Teen Wolf. Cho has also starred in Miss 2059, Chicago Med, and Partner Track.

However, more relevantly, Cho is an avid poker player. She makes frequent appearances at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Cho's biggest success to date on the felt was a 2nd place finish in the 2024 PGT Championships, bagging her an impressive $200,000.

Born to Korean-American parents in Amarillo, Texas, in August 1985, Cho grew up in San Antonio. Her father, a taekwondo grandmaster, brought Cho up training the martial art. As a result, she is now a taekwondo black belt.

Originally, Cho aspired to become a lawyer. However, while attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Cho took her first drama classes, and her passion for acting was born. Although Cho featured in a handful of TV show episodes, commercials, and films from 2008, Cho's first major breakthrough came in 2014 when she joined the cast of Teen Wolf. Cho started as a recurring character in season 3 but was promoted to a main role in season 4.

Is Arden Cho Married?

A 75th-place finish in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2013 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas was Cho's first recorded live cash.

At the 2018 WSOP, Cho finished 662nd in the Main Event for $21,750.

Cho's seventh-place finish in the $10,400 No-Limit Hold'em Wynn High Roller #3 in March 2022 earned her a career-best $30,000. That remained her largest live poker haul for only nine months because Cho finished 55th in the $10,400 WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas for $71,400.

More recently, in January 2024, Cho navigated her way to the final table of the PokerGO Tour (PGT) Championship, a $1 million guaranteed freeroll. Cho battled with some of poker's biggest stars, but she kept her composure and progressed to the six-handed final table fifth in chips. She eventually finished second for $200,000 behind eventual winner Daniel Smiljkovic.

Having first played the game in 2002, she has experience on her side. While her main profession certainly isn't cards, her results in poker speak for themselves. Is she a top pro and one of the best in the world? Far from it. But it's clear that Cho is a highly competent poker player, who is far better than the average recreational player and can more than hold her own at the high-stakes tables.

Cho was chasing the American dream, and like many other aspiring actors moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in TV and film. She worked odd jobs to get by, and while she didn't have any on-screen credits until proficiency in various skills, such as ballet and piano, caught the attention of an agent.

Cho has secured several big roles since and has done an array of different acting verticals, including films, commercials and TV series.

She's perhaps most famous for her roles in Teen Wolf and more recently KPop demon hunters.
