Mariano Balfagon is an Argentinian poker player best known for winning the $800 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstacj event at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. Balfagon claimed this event's gold bracelet and a career-best prize worth $252,386.
Balfagon has played poker for 20 years, but his Hendon Mob only shows a handful of tournament results from May 2017. In June 2017, he finished fourth in the Master Cup in Buenos Aires for the equivalent of $11,431. That remained his largest haul until he headed to the 2025 WSOP.
He cashed in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout for $11,060 before taking down the $800 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack for $252,386 and his first bracelet.
"I’m feeling really good and really happy. It was a dream of mine to end up with a bracelet, and now I have fulfilled that dream."
“Now I will look at buying into some slightly higher buy-in events and the main event next year. I will now just enjoy the money and do some travelling, enjoy life, and keep on playing poker!”
