Mykhailo Ostash is a Ukrainian poker player who began recording live scores on his Hendon Mob profile in March 2024. His first 14 in-the-money results stemmed from relatively small stakes events in his native Ukraine. However, a trip to the 2025 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Malta festival would ultimately change his life.
After cashing in the €825 PokerStars Open Cup, Ostash entered the €5,300 EPT Malta Main Event alongside 897 other entrants. Ostash navigated to the final table, where he reached the heads-up stage. After striking a deal with eventual champion Tomasz Brezezinski, Ostash finished in second place for a life-changing €603,058 prize.
