Ryan Hoenig is an American poker player from Fort Collins, Colorado, best known for his dominant performance and victory in the $10,000 Dealers Choice Championship at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. Hoenig has one WSOP bracelet.
Hoenig's first recorded live cash came in February 2020 in a $200 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em event. He started his live career in hot form, winning that tournament for $5,110. After a handful of Omaha tournament cashes, Hoenig finished second in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event at the 2023 WSOP, earning $369,972.
Hoenig showcased his mixed game prowess at the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in April 2024. He cashed in eight different poker variants, never placing lower than sixth, and won two.
Coming into the 2025 WSOP, Hoenig won a $1,100 Limit Omaha Hi-Lo event at The Wynn for $44,180. A week later, Hoenig became a WSOP champion, leading the $10,000 Dealers Choice Championship from start to finish and earning his first bracelet and $355,444.
