Out for the Count

Level 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

Several high-profile names have already been busted, with Tim Tim Timotheu, Sin Menis Melin and Jonathan Weekes no longer part of the Day 1c field.

With over £140,000 in the prize-pool, everyone still involved will be desperate to join the 65 names in Day 2 already from Day 1a and 1b.

Vinatoru Raises Cabby

Level 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

Peter Cabby called a bet 2,200 from Mihai Vinatoru pre-flop, with Vinatoru in early position and Cabby in the small blind. The flop of {3-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades} saw Cabby lead for 1,500. When Vinatoru raised to 4,400, Cabby open-folded {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

"I needed to find out where I am. You don;t raise there unless you can beat the queen."

"I can beat the queens." came Vinatoru's repsonse. While his stack is elevated to 29,500, Cabby is down to 18,600.

Level 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

Steve Watts is a popular player in most card rooms in Europe, but perhaps never more so than in London. He's currently chip leader on Day 1c with 102,000 chips to his name.

We used the latest 15-minute break to speak to the former professional footballer and you'll definitely want to stay right here to read what he had to say.

Panuta Cant Catch Up

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Ivan Panuta managed to find a miracle earlier when his pocket eight overcame pocket jacks, making quads on the river to double him up. But his luck ran out when Christoph Koechy called with {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} .

The board of {K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} saw Koechy eliminate his opponent and climb to 120,000 in chips.

How to Nguyen at Poker

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Huan Nguyen moved all-in from under the gun for 22,400 chips and was called only by Mariana Upper in the big blind.

Nguyen turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and would need some serious help against Upper's {K-Clubs}{K-Spades} . She got it on the board of {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} , however, and doubled up to over 45,000 chips. Upper needed to get back into the action, and shoved the next hand for 15900, called by Steve Watts, who turned over {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} . Upper had {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} this time, and secod time around, her pocket kings won the hand, the board coming {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades} .

Watts still has the biggest stack at the table.

Taxi for Cabby

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Peter Cabby has left the tournament after losing a flip for his tournament life. All-in for ten big blinds with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, he was called by a player with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and the board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} to send the taxi service owner to the rail...or maybe the taxi rank!
