£220 Opening Event
Day 1c Started
We're back at Aspers Casino in Stratford for Day 1c of the £100,000 Guaranteed Opening Event at 2pm. That prize-pool is likely to be broken through upon resumption of the action as only 500 entries are needed, with 451 entries already in.
From Day 1a, Arron Fletcher (535,000) and Graham Hawkes (515,000) were top dogs. Yesterday's Day 1b, however, saw James Mitchell piling up 512,000.
Today will see 13 levels, with play likely to conclude around 10.30pm local time. Plenty of 888Poker qualifiers are expected to play and it could well be nearer a £150,000 prize-pool by the end of level 6, which is when late registration ends. Players also have the option of two re-entries until that time.

Saturday's Day 1c is underway, with players such as Steve Watts, Tim Timotheu, Jonathan Weekes, Vinnie Anderson, Paul Romain, Mohammed Suhail and Sin Melin taking their seats from the off.
Yesterday's action saw 275 entries, but with 105 players already at the felt, we've seen the £100,000 guarantee smashed, up to £111,000 and climbing.
Richard Paul opened the betting from early position with a bet of 350 slid forward quietly. He was called by Moyo Ober in middle position and another player under the gun, before seeing a flop of .
Paul bet 525 and this time was only called by Obe. The turn of saw Paul continue for 1,200, again called by Obe, but on the river of , Paul's bet of 2,600 was too rich for Obe.
"I don't have a club..." Obe declared as he mucked his cards to fold. Paul mucked his too, however, not wanting to give anything away.

Raheem Tadj-Saadat popped out a standard raise in middle position and got a couple of callers, before seeing an exciting-looking flop of . At this point, he continued for a very chunky 2,200 and got two quick folds before showing and scooping the pot.
"It was a bad flop for me."
"If that's a bad flop for you, I'd hate to see a good one. You've got top set!" replied a player at his table.
"The flush draw, maybe a straight. I didn't like it!" Tadj-Saadat chuckled.
Plenty of new players have entered the fray, including Andy 'dawhiteninja' Wool and Kelly Saxby

Andy Wool and Sin Melin have both made attempts to bluff on the river to win the pot, with varied results.
Andy Wool had raised pre-flop and then bet each street increasing amounts of 500, 1,100 and 3,000 chips on a board of in a bid to take down the pot, and was successful when his opponent folded his hand after serious consideration. Wool showed for the bluff...he spun a good yarn.
But on another table, Melin was less successful. She pinged 1,500 into the middle after checking the flop and betting 1,100 on the turn of only to be called by a player with having declared "Jack-high".
While Melin only has 10,000, Wool is already above average in the room.

"Let's see what he's made of. 5k." announced Anderson, who made it 5,000. Reddy called. The river of saw Anderson ping 10,000 into the middle, which Reddy called. Anderson showed for the straight.
