Day 1b Started

Welcome to Day 1b of 888Poker London Live Main Event

With a £200,000 guarantee and great location, the second and final Day 1 flight will begin at Midday with players looking to play nine levels and reach Day 2.

Yesterday, 20 players made it through from 97 entries, and we can expect even more entries today.

With a delayed live stream from 12.30pm, cards are in the air very soon. Players will begin with a 30,000 starting stack and there is a 60-minute clock in effect throughout the day.

Who will make Day 2? We can't wait for the action to kick off!

Day 1b Filling Up

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

With a registration queue, players who frequented either the Opening Event, High Roller or both are already in their seats.

Ali Zinhi, Renee Xie, Luke Hayward, Steven Game, Chuck Khuu, Matt Eardley, Graham Hawkes and Michael Harb are all in attendance.

Terrell Saves Some Chips

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

The flop of {7-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds} saw action from the small blind, Sebastian Vrtacnik, as he bet 700. Michelle Terrell in the big blind, raised to 1,400. Only Vrtacnik called.

The turn of {3-Diamonds} saw both players check, but on the river {5-Clubs}, Vrtacnik went to raise to 2,500, but put the 500-chip onto the felt and announced '250' instead of '2500'. Terrell seemed suspicious, so called off the 250 rather than raise, and was shown Vrtacnik's hand of {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} . Terrell lost with {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, but was only too happy to show that she got off lightly on the river.

Seman and Zinhi

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

After a player in early position opened to 250, Ali Zinhi made it 700 from the dealer button, and got a call from Vitalii Seman the big blind and the original raiser to see a flop. That came came {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Zinhi continued to 1150, and was only called by Seman.

The turn of {5-Hearts} saw both players check, but on the river of {3-Diamonds}, Seman's bet of 1,800 took it down.

Big Players Sitting Down

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

With late registration open for 260 minutes, players are flowing in steadily.

Tom Middleton is just registering, the British professional having finished as runner-up at last night's £2,000 High Roller final table to win £18,400. Steve Watts has returned to take on the Main Event having run deep in the Opening Event and Andy Wool is back for more too.

Also present is Leo McClean, who has enjoyed some spectacular results in the game, not least his third place finish at EPT London in 2013 for £249,850. Since then, Leo has turned pro, then decided to mix poker with the stability of a regular job once more. He's not been lazy in poker terms, however, having cashed nine times on the live circuit in the last twelve months alone, including another third place finish in February for £83,500. Maybe McClean's aim is clearer than most...to make heads-up!

Moorman and Lovgren in Action

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Yesterday, Chris Moorman was playing the High Roller and reaching fourth place for £10,300. Sofia Lovgren was taking a day's break between the High Roller and playing today's Main Event.

Both of the Team 888Poker ambassadors have sat down at the same table after registering late, and they are sitting down with a bounty of £888 on their heads, as well as a hat. Tom Middleton has been seated one table away after just missing joining his friend Moorman at the table.

"But I wanted the hat!" laughed Middleton.
