One player had limped in and Andrei Racolta raised on the button to 2,000, Ahmed Fadhel shoved for 4,250 in the small blind and the limper as well as Racolta called. On the flop, both players checked and Racolta's bet of 5,500 on the turn was check-called. The river was checked and Racolta turned over . That was good enough to win the side pot against , while Fadhel tripled up with .
Soon after Stefan Aurelian Gheorghe shoved for around 6,000 and Fadhel reshoved on the button to isolate with . Gheorghe had and the board of gave Fadhel two pair.
On the four-way flop of , a bet of 3,600 was in front of a player in early position and Vasile Valentin Anghel on the button called. The small blind raised to 11,000 and Toni Jarvisalo, who qualified online through 888poker for this event in a Freeroll, moved all in for another 3,150 on top of the raise. The board came and Balteanu busted once more after already firing three bullets on Day 1a already. Next to Kuna sits Ozgur Arda, who wants to avoid another trip to the registration desk and currently has a quite healthy stack.
In one of the last hands before the dinner break, Shub Dean bet 7,000 on the turn and Marian Catalin Cantea moved all in for around 23,000, Shub called instantly.

Cantea needed a nine or heart to double, and the river was too little, too late, as he only made inferior two pair. Dean climbed up even further and crossed 200,000 in chips before heading to dinner.
