Two out of five starting days of the 2019 888poker LIVE Sochi Main Event are already completed and the first two flights saw fields of 100 entries and 83 entries emerge, of which 73 players advanced to Day 2 already.
The flagship event of the festival in cooperation with Poker Club Management and Casino Sochi in the mountain region of Krasnaya Polyana comes with a buy-in of 62,160 RUB (~ $888) and another three opportunities await for those that wish to earn a portion of the 35,000,000 RUB prize pool (~ $500,000).
Monday, August 12th, 2019 features two starting days at 12 p.m. local time and 8 p.m. local time. The former is Day 1c with 10 levels of 40 minutes each and the latter is Day 1d, in which he level duration has been reduced to 25 minutes each. Last but not least, prior to the restart of the event on the following day, another turbo flight is scheduled to kick off at 10 a.m. local time and will feature levels of 15 minutes.
Unlimited re-entries and the late registration are available throughout the first 14 levels of the tournament and 888poker ambassador Vivian Saliba, as well as Michael Mizrachi, are among those that have already secured their spot on Day 2. They will b joined by fellow 888poker ambassador Sofia Lovgren is also set to join the action in Sochi along with the 888poker online qualifiers and poker enthusiasts from Russia and other nearby countries.

All participants will receive 50,000 in chips and the first level will kick off with blinds of 100-200 to give everyone 250 big blinds worth. The tournament also features the popular big blind ante format and as of Day 2, the level duration will increase to 60 minutes each.
An additional tournament day has been added with seven levels on Day 2 and eight levels on Day 3 scheduled to give all participants the chance to check out the stunning landscape in which some events of the Olympic Winter games have been hosted previously.

With 2,600 in the middle and the flop showing , Andrey Topunov made it 2,000 to go out of the small blind and his sole remaining opponent Ivan Borisov raised big, tossing in 11,000.
