Day 1b Started
Bumper fields are expected for the remaining two regular starting days of the 2022 888poker LIVE Barcelona €1,100 Main Event. The second chance to run up a stack for Day 2 awaits as of 6pm local time at the Casino Barcelona and one of Europe's hotbed of live poker action hosts the popular live poker tour for the fourth time.
One starting day of the marquee event on the schedule has been completed thus far as 39 players out of 94 entries advanced last night. Larger field sizes are expected throughout the next two days as poker enthusiasts from near and far will aim to surpass Catalan player Alex Baena I Carrasco (213,300) on the leaderboard.
The local card shark increased his starting stack of 30,000 more than seven-fold and the only one to come somewhat close is Melika Razavi, who culminated at 176,500 after a late surge in the final two levels of the night.

Back in 2017 the 888poker LIVE tour headed to Barcelona for the first time and Luigi Shehadeh came out on top of an 609 entry strong field to claim the top prize of €110,000. In 2018, Adrian Constantin and Joel Isla Gonzalo cut a heads-up deal to secure €114,025 each and Constantin won the following duel for the trophy.

For his efforts in the €550 Main Event, the Spaniard padded his bankroll with a payday of €70,000. Gabriele Rossi then followed in the footsteps of fellow countryman Shehadeh in 2019 to claim €110,000 after topping a field of 551 entries.
