Among those in the field were several 888poker Ambassadors including Brazil's Nico "nicoferrow" Villa-Lobos, Germany's Natalie "888NatalieH" Hof and United Kingdom's Chris "888Moorman" Moorman.
While Villa-Lobos (245th) and Hof (157th) were both eliminated before the money, Moorman managed a deep run all the way to the final table where he exited the tournament in ninth place to collect $1,882 after his ace-jack proved to be no match for the pocket queens held by MindCrushers.
After Moorman was eliminated, Brazil's liincownz (eighth - $3,136), TheMulletman (seventh - $4,704) and Poland's silskyer (sixth - $6,272) were all eliminated in quick succession.
Luis "pegAAmigo" Dono was then eliminated by clmbndream in fifth place for $7,840 when his ace-nine was unable to catch up to his opponent's ace-jack. About half an hour later, Mexico's LrdofDonkTwn was eliminated in fourth place for $11,289.60 when his ace-five was crushed by Mindcrushers' ace-jack.
Without too much delay, play was heads-up after trojanmouse got it all in with ace-nine and was subsequently eliminated in third place for $15,053 against clmbndream who held ace-king.
Mindcrushers entered heads-up play with an almost five-to-one chip advantage. However, climbndream battled back to eventually take a four to one chip advantage himself. Mindcrushers was able to retake the lead, this time for good when heor she hit a straight after going all in with queen-jack against his opponent's ace-five. Mindcrushers eliminated climbndreams in second place for $20,117 after his queen-ten was able to edge out his opponent's ace-jack.

This time the only 888poker Ambassador playing the tournament was Natalie "888natalieH" Hof. She busted in 1,343th place, far from reaching the money. Hours after Hof busted, the final table with nine players cashing a minimum price of $422.76 was reached..

888poker had a special promotion on Day 2 of the series with extra prizes for players who could cash, make the final table or win both tournaments. If a player could manage to win both they would win themselves $100,000! This almost impossible achievement wasn't managed by one player, but there was a story on Day 2.
After having finished in eight place in Event #4, Renato "curioso24" Lezama got himself a seat on the final table of Event #5 as well. He got a $2,100 seat for the High Roller-event and a $1,050 Main Event-ticket for that feat! After making his second final table of the day he got to take fourth place in this tournament for $2,602.50.
Following him to the rail was Latvian player "R0bis5s" who finished third for $3,470. The heads-up between "P0vorachivay" and "tttexa" was won by the Russian and for that he got $6,506.26 in prize money. "tttxea" from Ukraine couldn't complain because he got $4,684.50 for his second place.
On the first day of the Super XL Series Chris "888Moorman" Moorman reached the final table of Event #01. Yesterday shared his thoughts about making the final table. “I felt surprisingly good considering I haven't played that much online poker lately. This was my first real session back at the tables and to make a final table is a great start. The players were making a lot of moves against me and I was fortunate enough to have good hands in those situations.”
“With the tournament being a reentry one I felt like the average player was more willing to gamble so it was important to adjust to that,” explained Chris when referring to his strategy for the tournament. As to his thoughts of the final table and the winner “Mindcrushers”: “He also started the final table short stacked but were fortunate enough to pick up queens in back-to-back hands, get action and hold to take the chip lead. It just shows how quick your stack and fortunes can change in poker tournaments and to always stay patient and positive.”
On the third day of the 888poker 2017 Super XL Series, the players couldn't be more excited! There was a total of six new events on the schedule with tournaments for all kinds of players. Do you want to know who celebrated his weekend with a big result? Check out the results for Day 3 of the tournament series.

Straight after, "f0rmEITseGal" exited the tournament in seventh place for $9,328 followed by Finland's "iikka12" hitting the rail in sixth place for $12,490.
Almost another half an hour passed before Yosifov hit the showers in fifth place for $15,652 when his ace-deuce couldn't catch up to ForSjovt's' ace-queen. About five minutes later, Germany's "888_de" was eliminated in fourth place for $21,502 after the German's pocket deuces were unable to hold up against the ace-deuce held by Sweden's "SalsaFiesta".
Fifteen minutes later, "HappyMonkey9" was eliminated by "SalsaFiesta" in third place for $30,007. The Brit's jack-four proved to be no good on a jack-high board against the German's pocket jacks.
"SalsaFiesta" entered heads-up play with a 2:1 chip advantage against "ForSvojt" and it appeared for a moment the duo was going to make a deal. However, no agreement was reached and on the very next hand, "ForSovjt" grabbed the chip lead after he doubled up with ace-king against his opponent's king-jack.
Heads-up play lasted for over an hour with the chip lead going back and forth several times. "SalsaFiesta" was eventually low on chips when ForSvojt shoved with queen-nine. "SalsaFiesta" called for about eight big blinds with ace-six, however, eventually lost the hand and collected the runner-up prize of $39,525 when a queen hit the board.

After more than 10 hours of play, Jonathan "chut_up" Van Fleet won the $2,100 Event #28: $350,000 Super XL - High Roller for $87,290. The event attracted 203 players for a total prize pool of $406,000.
Some of the best online poker tournament players in the poker world registered to the event. Well-known pros like Ole "olekonjole" Schemion, Nicolas "PKaiser" Fierro and Christopher "NigDawg" Brammer had a go at the most expensive tournament of the Super XL Series, however, was unable to make a deep run.
The eventual final table was also by no means lacking household names. The No. 1 ranked online tournament player in the world, Niklas "tutten7" Astedt, was long in contention for the title, but would eventually succumb to an eighth-place finish outlasting only Britain's "LAP1215" (ninth - $8,120) on the final table.
Costa Rican player "JAB888" was next to bust in seventh place for $16,240 before former EPT winner Frederik "Poelsetyv" Jensen followed suit in sixth place good for $20,300.
Shortly after Marton "WorldIsOurs" Czuczor (fifth - $24,360) fell to the ace-jack of Fabrizio "DrMiKee" Gonzalez before Romanian "glezna23" was sent to the rail in a coin flip against Van Fleet.
Even though Gonzalez knocked out Bernardo "bsdias" Dias in third place for $47,705, Van Fleet still held the chip lead as the players started heads-up play. In the very first hand, Gonzalez managed to level the playing field by doubling up with ace-seven against the pair of threes of Van Fleet, but Van Fleet took back the lead immediately and never looked back.
In the final hand, the king-seven of Van Fleet held up against the queen-jack of his opponent, and king high was enough to secure the victory and the $87,290 on top, while Gonzalez walked away with the runner-up prize of $62,930.
