With the live poker world in turmoil this 2020, online poker series are bigger and better than ever, and 888poker is no exception. The 2020 XL Inferno Series kicks off today, and over the course of 11 days and 34 events, at least $1.5M is guaranteed in prizes.

The series gets underway today at 2pm Eastern time with XL Inferno #1 - $75,000 Opening Event. Players will get 50,000 chips for their $109 buy in, and play 12 minute levels through to the end of the game. A winner will be decided before they stop play for the day in this one-day event.

Currently, with about 90 minutes to go until the start of the day, there are 140 entries in the field, but they'll need significantly more than that to make the $75,000 guarantee. Late registration is available for 210 minutes, so there's plenty of time to get in the game.

PokerNews will be covering select tournaments live during the XL Inferno Series, as well as providing daily updates on the results from the full series. Action kicks off on the first event shortly, so stay tuned here as the XL Inferno starts to burn.
