Event #34: $888 Mystery Bounty Main Event, the pinnacle of the 2024 888Poker XL Winter Series boasts an ambitious $1,000,000 guarantee but with the last few Day 1 flights wrapping up, the total prizepool has already swelled past that point. At the time of writing, 162 players are slated to fight it out on Day 2 from a combined starting field of 1,219, though that number will grow slightly before action gets underway in just under an hour.
Currently leading the way is "sheeeeeeeeet" of the United Kingdom, who, after firing six bullets, managed to spin their starting stack up to 214,448. Estonian "lnaii" sits someway behind them with 181,284 while "buhu1" of Romania rounds out the top three on 175,015.
The mystery bounty portion of the tournament comes into play on Day 2, which should be of significance to the remaining players given the $100,000 top bounty. That number currently eclipses the top prize of $82,618 set to head the way of the winner of the regular half of the tournament.

With the close of late registration at the start of Day 2, the total prizepool and payouts have been confirmed. The 1,219 entries managed to surpass the seven figure guarantee, generating a prizepool of $1,033,712 with $500,000 set aside for the mystery bounties and the remainder split amongst the top 144 finishers, each of whom will receive a minimum of $1,334. The eventual winner, meanwhile, will walk away with $82,618
