Welcome to Day 1d of the 2019 Ante Up Poker Tour $250 Main Event at Tampa Bay Downs
The first Ante Up Poker Tour stop of 2019, which is taking place inside the 23-table Silks Poker Room inside Tamp Bay Downs, will hold the final two of five stating flights today beginning with the 1d flight at 1 p.m. local time.
While the festival has been taking place since the beginning of the week with multiple side events each day, the $250 Main Event was the event everyone was looking forward to.
In last night's 1A flight, 89 entrants took to the felt but 14 levels of play just 18 remained with Peter Chang and his stack of 296,500 leading the pack. Click here for a full recap of the 1A action.
On Friday, Days 1b and 1c attracted 86 and 87 runners respectively, which along with 1a’s 89 entrants brought the total field up to 262 entries with two flights still to go. After 14 levels of play in the 1b flight, just 14 remained with Hyndi Khomutetsky and her stack of 284,000 leading the way. On 1c, 15 players bagged with Donald “Doc” Brown and his stack of 288,000 on top.
Not only will the eventual winner reap in the rewards of a $60,000 guaranteed prize pool, but they will also be featured on the cover of Ante Up Magazine in March and earn a spot in the Ante Up World Championship Main Event in July.
Today, players will begin with 25,000 starting chips with the blinds at 100/100. A big blind ante will be introduced in the second level and will continue throughout. The levels will be 30-minutes in length for all Day 1s and increase to 40 minutes on the final day. There will be a 10-minute break after every four levels with play ending after a total of 14 levels.
Late registration will remain open until the start of level nine. Players will be given the option of unlimited re-entries until that point. Should a player bag chips on multiple starting flights, only their best stack will be brought forward to the final day.
