Five More Hands

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The tournament staff just announced the remaining 1d players will play five more hands before bagging and tagging. Stay tuned for a recap of today's action along with a list of end-of-day chip counts.

One for Wunder

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After the under-the-gun player and lojack both limped, Jordan Wunder raised to 10,000 from the hijack. Both limpers called and then all three players checked the {7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop.

The UTG player checked for a second time on the {6-Spades} turn and the lojack bet 12,000. Only Wunder called to see the {J-Hearts} river and he called another bet of 12,000.

The lojack showed the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} bluff and Wunder rolled over the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for the win.

Nerron Looking to Bag Healthy Stack

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Larry Nerron limped the button and Antuan Bunkley did the same from the small blind. Leif Oskarsson checked his option from the big and the trio saw a flop of {7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

Bunkley checked, Oskarsson bet 5,000, and Nerron called. Bunkley did too and then all three players checked the {Q-Clubs} turn as well as the {Q-Diamonds} river.

Nerron tabled the {a-Hearts}{7-Spades} for queens and sevens, which was good as the other two mucked.

Edie Jo Isn't Done Yet

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Edie Jo Norman
Edie Jo Norman

The player in the hijack raised to 7,000 and Pat Buckley called from the cutoff. Edie Jo Norman then three-bet all in for 27,600 from the button, both blinds folded, and the hijack called. Buckley got out of the way and the hands were turned up.

Norman: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Hijack: {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Norman got it in good but fell behind on the {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Fortunately for her, the dealer burned and turned the {A-Diamonds} to give her back the lead.

The {2-Spades} river was of no consequence and Norman shipped a double in the penultimate level of the night.

Checking It Down with Bunkley and Godwin

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Action folded to Jon Godwin on the button and he raised to 5,000, which Antuan Bunkley called from the big blind.

Both players proceeded to check it down as the board ran out {2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}.

Bunkley rolled over the {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} and it was good enough as Godwin sent his hand to the muck unseen.
