Day 1b has been completed, and the field is set for the final day of the Ante Up Poker Tour Atlantis $1,100 Main Event. A total of 112 entries came through the Atlantis Casino in Reno, Nevada, for the second of two Day 1 flights.
At the end of the night it was 14 players making it through to Day 2, and all 14 of those players are in the money. John Nethery bagged the biggest stack at the end of Day 1b, and goes into Day 2 with 637,500. Closely following on the leaderboard are Loren Klein (459,500) and Marshall Barnes (374,500).
The 14 players that made it through Day 1b will join the 10 survivors of Day 1a, and those 24 players will come back Sunday for Day 2. Play begins at noon Sunday, and will play down to a winner in this $200,000 guaranteed prize pool event.
The championship and the first place prize of $47,902 will be on the line. That prize money includes a $1,650 entry into the 2020 Ante Up World Championship Main Event
Nethery, Klein Build Massive Stacks
Nethery will come back to Day 2 as the overall chip leader, after rising to a solid stack in the early levels of the day, and adding to that total by winning a massive pot with three tables remaining.
Already sitting on a 330,000 stack, Nethery found himself on the winning end of a kings versus queens hand against John Miner, which resulted in a half million chips going into the middle between the two players. The hand put Nethery up to nearly 600,000, and he added even more to that total before night’s end.
Klein, no stranger to tournament success in Reno, fired multiple bullets throughout the day, and his final shot proved to be a success. Once Klien eclipsed the 200,000 mark, the two-time Run It Up Reno Main Event winner began using his stack to relentlessly raise against the shorter stacks at his table, forcing opponents into making a decision for all of their chips.
That approach paid off big time for Klein, who comes into Day 2 second overall in chips.

Multiple Entries
Ryan Awwad finished Friday’s Day 1a flight in painful fashion, going out in 11th place, on the money bubble.
Awwad took another shot at the Main Event Saturday and came away with a better result, bagging 177,500 at the end of Day 1b. Rudy Wusstig (168,000) and Dick Hanley (47,000) also finished in the money on Day 1b, after falling short on Day 1a.
Several other players that didn’t make it through Day 1a came back to take another shot at Day 1b in this unlimited re-entry event. Some of the players in that category that were eliminated from the Main Event on Day 1b included Eric Baldwin, Kevin O’Donnell, Jason Daniele, Nabil Zumout and Arash Raoofi and Joseph Crowley.
The Day 2 restart will commence with 36:00 remaining in Level 16, and players will play through 40 minute levels, with a 15-minute break after every three levels. Play will continue until a winner is crowned.
