From September 20-29, the Ante Up Poker Tour will head to Jamul Casino near San Diego, marking the first time the tour will hold a stop in Southern California.
Jamul Casino, located just 20 minutes from San Diego, opened its door back in February and is looking to follow up on its successful $550 Golden Cap Bounty Tournament that featured notable poker guests Norman Chad, Erick Lindgren, and Tiffany Michelle.
“Jamul Casino is thrilled to be the first San Diego poker room to partner with the Ante Up Poker Tour,” said John Rochfort, poker room manager.
The series starts Sept. 20 with a $300 buy-in, $40,000 guaranteed prize pool two-flight Kickoff Event, and ends not only with Day 2 of the Main Event, but also two other events – a $240 knockout event w/ $100 bounties and a $100 NLH Event that features chip leader bonuses. There will be a Player of the Series race with prizes as well.

With showing on the board, Kevin O'Donnell put in a river bet for 2,000.
"I call," said Joseph Crowley, clearly not all that enthusiastic about the situation. O'Donnell indeed had the best of it, showing for top pair.
Both of these players made it to the late levels of Day 1a before getting eliminated short of the money, and both are back to fire another bullet on Day 2.
