Day 1b of the Ante Up Poker Tour Jamul Casino $550 Main Event has come to a close. A total of 114 entries came through the Jamul Casino Poker Room, near San Diego, California, for the second of two Day 1 flights.

At the end of the night it was 23 players making through to Day 2, with Tim Costello and Adrian Lopez in a tie for the biggest Day 1b stack, with both ending the flight at 315,000 chips. Right behind on the chip leaderboard are Tavish Margers (301,000) and Vladimir Medvinsky (269,000).

After a wild day of action and rapid eliminations on Day 1a, the pace of play on Day 1b was a little more relaxed. There was plenty of juicy action to be seen, still, and through the two Day 1 flights a total of 34 players will advance to Day 2, which begins Sunday at noon.

Day 1a saw 12 players advance, and those 12 will join the 23 Day 2 survivors for the final day. Tailong Qiao (142,000) bagged both flights, and will bring the bigger of his two bags into Day 2.The tournament will play down to a winner Sunday, with the champion taking home the first place prize of $27,180.

A total of 22 players will make the money Sunday, with the 22nd place finisher taking home the min cash of $959. The final four tables will come back and resume play at Level 15, with the blinds at 3000/6000/6000.

The stack distribution throughout the room stayed relatively even throughout the day, with Costello and Lopez emerging with big stacks at the end of the night. Both will be among the overall chip leaders when Day 2 begins, but both will be looking up at the overall chip leader, Scott Lewis, who bagged 355,000 on Day 1a.

Follow along with the PokerNews live reporting team as the Ante Up Jamul Main Event concludes Sunday.
