Min Jae Continues Form

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Min Jae Park has continued his good form into Day 3.

We caught up with him check-raising a flop of {A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades} to 35,000. His opponent Guanggi Zhang made the 21,000 chip call to see the turn of {J-Spades}. Park checked and Zhang checked behind allowing the {J-Clubs} to hit the river. Park bet out for 60,000 and Zhang counted out the chips and slid them into the middle. Park showed the {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for runner-runner trips after raising the flop with air.

“You’re sick,” Zhang said as he mucked his hand.

Park is still on of our chips leaders and as he moves to 530,000.

Peco Falls to Ali

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ali Ghezelbash is having a great day as he's up over 500,000 and looking like the chip leader.

The latest pot to go into Ghelbash's stack saw him and Peco Stojanovski get into a preflop raising war with Stojanovski eventually finding himselfall in with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} against Ghezelbash's {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

The {7-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board was no good to Stojanovski as he hit the rail and padded Ghezelbash's stack.

Dider Bad Beats Liu

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Canadian Pro Xuan Liu has been left crippled after receiving a bad beat.

Liu three bet from the button after a raise and call ahead of her. The small blind folded and Didier Guerin tanked before shipping his 150,000 stack into the middle. The two other players got out of the way and Liu made a quick call. Guerin was at risk and dominated with his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} up against the {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} of Liu.

The {7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop, however, gave Guerin his three outer and the {5-Diamonds} turn and {Q-Diamonds} river ensured he would receive the double up. Guerin is now on 350,000 chips whilst Liu is down to 8,000.

Ghezelbash Sends Another Home

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ali Ghezelbash has had a great Day 3 thus far as he has grown his stack even more after eliminating Guangqi Zhang.

Zhang had moved all in and received a call from Ghezelbash. Zhang was ahead holding the {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} but at risk against Ghezelbash’s {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. The flop changed nothing as it fell {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades} but the {J-Diamonds} hitting the turn put Ghezelbash ahead as the table groaned at the sickness. The river bricked the {10-Spades} and Zhang was sent to the rail. Ghezelbash now sits with close to 600,000 in chips.

Triple For Short Liu

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

In the final hand before the first break on Day 3, Xuan Liu put her 7,000 stack into the middle against two players.

The two players checked to the river and Liu showed {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} for two pair on the board of {5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

It was good enough for her to take down the pot. Liu is still short with 29,000.

Liu's Comeback Continues

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Xuan Liu has continued her comeback earning another double up.

Liu shoved from middle position and received a call from Peter Nissirios in the big blind.

Liu was ahead with the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} against Nissirios’s {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} but the {4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} gave Nissirious more outs.

However, the {A-Diamonds} turn and {5-Hearts} river were kind to Liu who scored the double up.
