Bloom Slips, Im Soars

On a flop of {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} Young-shin Im led out for 14,000 from the small blind before Max Bloom made it 41,500 to go from the big.

Im contemplated for a moment before making it 75,000 straight, only to have Bloom respond with an all in for roughly 250,000. Im instantly made the call for her remaining 207,500.

Bloom: {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}
Im: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The turn and river landed the {6-Clubs} and {7-Spades} to see Im soar to over 550,000 as Bloom was left as the short stack with 50,000 in chips.

Bloom Bombs Out

Max Bloom - 18th place
Max Bloom - 18th place

Max Bloom opened for a min-raise of 12,000 from the button only to have Ivan Tan move all in from the big blind.

Bloom made the call tabling his {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} to be trailing Tan's {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

The flop of {7-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Hearts} virtually left Bloom drawing dead - apart from running sevens - and when the {Q-Hearts} and {2-Clubs} on the turn and river fell, Bloom was forced to exit in 18th place as Tan soars to 320,000 in chips.

Valero Vanquished

Roberto Vincent Valero - 17th place
Roberto Vincent Valero - 17th place

Kim Gap Young opened to 15,000 from under the gun only to have Roberto Vincent Valero move all in for 65,500 next to speak.

Young hesitated slightly before making the call to put the Filipino at risk.

Young: {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Valero: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The {Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop put Young in the lead, and when the {10-Hearts} landed on the turn, it left Valero drawing to an ace or jack to stay alive.

Unfortunately for one of the last remaining locals, the {8-Hearts} on the river would send him to the rail in 17th place for a PHP 215,000 payday.

Juvonen Soars To Lead, Beeckx Crippled

With the board reading {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} Jukka Juvonen checked over to Alexander Beeckx who fired out 51,000.

Juvonen bumped it up to 130,000 only to have Beeckx respond with a re-raise all in. Juvonen made the call for his final 307,500 to see a pot of 800,000 formed.

Juvonen: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Beeckx: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

With Juvonen needing to fade a heart or the board pairing to stay alive, the {5-Spades} on the river would see him pushed the pot as Beeckx was left crippled with 9,000 in chips.

Shin Sugiura - 16th place
Shin Sugiura - 16th place

Paul Foltyn entered the pot with a raise to 17,500 with Kim Gap Young making the call before Shin Sugiura moved all in for 58,000 from the cutoff. Foltyn passed, but Young made the call.

Sugiura: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Young: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The board was spread {6-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts} to end Sugiura's tournament in 16th place for a PHP 269,000 payday as Young climbs just shy of 600,000 in chips.
